Because there is no dwelling due to the union of severance, therefore it is non-dwelling. Because all dharmas have no characteristics to focus on, therefore it is without support. Therefore, it is immeasurable, because there is no measure for the entry of all objects of focus. That the mind is inexhaustible means that, with respect to the correct mind, the support of the Prajñāpāramitā as explained, is inexhaustible because of the lack of intrinsic nature in the ultimate sense. "By what" means endowed with qualities such as blessings. "Thus, as it is" means that with the minds of knowable objects, realizing the nature of emptiness, immeasurability, inexhaustibility, etc., in the ultimate sense, is called focusing on equality with equality, and the wisdom that abides in the nature of the object of focus. The reason is stated: "Immeasurable and inexhaustible like the sky," the meaning of which is this: whoever knows a little about the immeasurable and the exhausted, the mind of the Tathāgata, by the power of the Prajñāpāramitā, is immeasurable and inexhaustible like the sky because of its lack of characteristics. What is its entity? It refers to what cannot be fully known. Furthermore, the collected ones refer to virtue. The collected objects of focus refer to the Abhidharma. How is the mind collected? It is said that it is collected and together with it, it is of the nature of exhaustion, and exhaustion is also of the nature of non-exhaustion. Exhaustion is the collection of objects of focus, that is, knowing the mind to be exhausted in the conventional sense, that itself is exhaustion. In the ultimate sense, it is inexhaustible, because the nature of the mind is inexhaustible. Thus, with respect to the nature of the collected mind, because of the nature of non-existence as it is, when it is known in the ultimate sense, it is said to be the collected mind. That is, the collected is of the nature of exhaustion, and exhaustion is also of the nature of non-exhaustion, which is stated in some places. The collection of objects of focus there is the non-exhaustion of the mind. That is also of the nature of non-exhaustion, because the nature of the non-exhausted mind is of the nature of exhaustion. Therefore, the Tathāgata also declares that the correct collection is exhaustion, and exhaustion is also of the nature of non-exhaustion. In some places, it is stated that non-exhaustion is non-exhaustion.

That is the exhaustion of the conventional, which is not exhausted in the ultimate truth. That is how it is understood. Furthermore, "those who are distracted" means that they are fully in accordance with distraction. Complete gathering is lethargy, and the mind that is completely gathered with lethargy is complete gathering, because it can lead the five aggregates of consciousness to enter the object. That is distraction, completely the same as other afflictions, which refers to those that follow. Those Kashmiris are not respectful, and if that were the case, it would lead to the same thing being both completely gathered and distracted. Because of the complete combination of afflictive lethargy. Complete gathering means that it becomes distracted because it is fully in accordance with afflictions different from that. "From the nature of reality" means by the emptiness of the essence of the nature of mind. From that, because it has the same taste as the emptiness of all phenomena, whether it is said to be distracted or exhausted, what is said is that there is no distraction and no exhaustion. In some places, Subhuti, those minds that are distracted in the nature of reality, because they have no self-nature, those minds are not exhausted, completely unexhausted, not distracted, those minds are truly and completely known as they are, this is what is quoted. Among them, "from the nature of reality" is from emptiness. "Distraction" is in the conventional. "How is it in the ultimate truth" is unexhausted, because it exists after abandoning the moments. "Completely unexhausted" is because the continuum has no cessation. "Not distracted" means that the complete arising of going outward does not exist. "Why is it said to be like this" means "without self-nature," which means that it is empty by its own self-nature. In other ways, the unobtainability of the mind can also be increased, Subhuti, and also "pervading all afflictions" means that because it is completely combined with afflictions and truly and completely arises, pervading all afflictions is unwholesome. "By pervading all afflictions, it will not become pervading all afflictions," those are the pervading all afflictions that have become non-existent, because the things of pervading all afflictions do not exist in the ultimate truth.
