Making free from dimness is to completely destroy. Dimness is a fault of seeing, and because it makes one free from it, it is said to make free from dimness. Having become such, what arises and what does it produce? What is said is not to do all dharmas, all dharmas being the five skandhas. These also have three natures: the completely imputed nature, the other-dependent nature, and the thoroughly established nature. Among these, the completely imputed nature is not a doer, because it does not have its nature as it is. The other-dependent nature is untrue discrimination, and it is not a doer, because it is the antidote to it. The thoroughly established nature is the realm of dharma, and it also does not act, because it is without beginning and end. If it is said that true wisdom acts, then because of equality, as the object of equality, and abiding in the nature of being the object, it is also that wisdom is without beginning and end, and for this, it is only obtained by mere delusion and error. Then what does it do? What is said is, entering the wrong path, etc. The wrong path is the discrimination of dharmas. By this, those who enter, in the path, are introduced to the wisdom of the selflessness of dharmas. In whose path? That is, in the path of the all-knowing one. By this alone, the all-knowing wisdom is completely accomplished, and for what is said, its meaning for others is, the all-knowing one, etc., when the connection of habits is abandoned, at that time, this is the meaning of the all-knowing one. Then, what is said is that the Perfection of Wisdom itself is not a producer and not a destroyer, not birth and not destruction, that is, not producing, etc., not producing for all dharmas, that is, the aspect of purification. Not destroying all dharmas is completely afflicted. Not being born and not being destroyed is because the ultimate meaning of all dharmas is its own realm of dharma. Therefore, for these without beginning and end, because they are completely non-existent by the nature that appears to children, for these there is no birth and destruction. Therefore, what is said is, self-nature emptiness.

It is called "for the sake of." Dependent arising, emptiness, again, granting these the power of self-nature, what is spoken is called "mother" and so on. Mother is the one who gives birth. Why? It is for the sake of bestowing all the precious teachings of the Buddha. All the teachings of the Buddha are precious, because they bestow them. All of them, in the state of cause, are the bodies of the Bodhisattvas. Therefore, this at that time gives birth to them. Because it gives birth to the Dharma of the Buddha, it is understood from the meaning of giving birth to the Buddha himself. By that alone, the distinctions of the Buddhas are not understood. Therefore, those with distinctions of qualities speak of it again, such as the ten powers. The powers of the Tathagata are ten, and they accomplish those. What are the ten? The power of knowing what is possible and impossible; the power of knowing the maturation of karma; the power of knowing the various realms; the power of knowing the various superior aspirations; the power of knowing the superior and inferior faculties; the power of knowing the path that goes everywhere; the power of knowing all the defilements and purifications, arising from meditation, liberation, samadhi, and samapatti; the power of knowing the recollection of past lives; the power of knowing death and birth; and the power of knowing the exhaustion of defilements. Among them, what is possible and impossible are existence and non-existence, or truly arising and not truly arising. For example, the undesirable maturation of negative actions is what is possible, and the desirable is what is impossible. Karma and maturation are karma and maturation. The various realms are the superior intentions that give rise to merit and non-merit, and so on. The various superior aspirations are, for example, those who abide in desire and hatred, and desire desire and hatred, and so on. The faculties are faith, diligence, mindfulness, samadhi, and wisdom.

The very best and non-best among those is the very great, such as saying, "This is dull faculty, this is medium," and so forth. The path that goes everywhere is the antidote to desire, such as saying, "This is the path, this is of hatred," and so forth. The four meditations, the eight liberations, the three samādhis, and those with and without investigation, and the four formless absorptions, and the nine gradual abidings, and all the afflictions, and so forth. Among these, affliction is the complete dedication to the meaning of existence and sorrow, and so forth. Purification is clairvoyance and non-manifestation, and so forth. Rising is due to the power of the lion's complete play and conformity and reversal. The former state is the former birth, and remembering it is remembrance. Dying and being born are the dying and being born of sentient beings. Leakage is affliction, and whichever leakage of those and by which path is exhausted, both of those leakages being exhausted is for sentient beings. Knowing these places and non-places and so forth in all ways at all times, that is knowing places and non-places and so forth here. That itself is power, because it is not overcome by others, and also because it subdues them. The so-called "unsubduable" means unable to be subdued. Why? It is said: It is for the sake of doing the four fearlessnesses, which means speaking reasonably without any doubt like a lion is fearlessness. Its essence is fearlessness. Fearlessness is of four types: fearlessness in completely awakening to all dharmas, fearlessness in knowing the exhaustion of all leakages, fearlessness in obstructing dharmas, and fearlessness in dharmas of definite emergence. Starting from one's own benefit are the first and second. Starting from the benefit of others are the third and fourth. Complete awakening is the perfection of wisdom. The exhaustion of leakage is the perfection of abandonment. Obstructing dharmas are the obstacles to nirvāṇa.
