It refers to "that," and so on. Bodhisattvas are those such as Buddhas, those such as roots of virtue, and those such as minds of rejoicing. All of these are proximately focused upon by relying on the conventional. By relying on the ultimate, all that is characterized by signs and not characterized by signs is not an object of focus. Therefore, all that is characterized by signs and dedication is reasonable for Bodhisattvas by the power of skillful means, which is the intention. Similarly, what is the means for this skillful means? What is said is "for this skillful means," and so on. "Without hearing" and so on, is the remainder of "this" or "in this." Whatever is dedicated in the Perfection of Wisdom is itself an act of merit, and entering into it cannot be grasped, which is the connection. "In this" and so on, means when it exists in that way. It should be said, "Do not say that in this way." What is this referring to? It is "whatever" and so on, meaning can it be done that way even without relying on this? Why is that? Because of doubt, what is said is "actions also cease" and so on. The meaning is that without relying on the Perfection of Wisdom, in dedication, whatever is my object and whatever actions truly exist, those themselves are characterized by signs, everything is conceptualized, and the Tathagatas do not permit conceptualizing after characterizing by signs and dedication. This dedication is like delicious food mixed with poison. Therefore, one should not dedicate in that way. Nor is it to be learned. "Cessation" and so on, as previously said, whatever has passed away, that is exhaustion. "My object" and so on, refers to the aggregates such as form of the inner self that are truly contained, the bodies of the Tathagatas and so on. "Actions also" and so on, refers to roots of virtue and minds of rejoicing and so on. Even in the conventional, it is the nature of the object of focus by cessation itself.

Oh, after stating what is inappropriate, the ultimate truth is also spoken, such as peace and so on. Peace is the nature of the completely imputed, because it is not born from demonic obstacles. Emptiness is empty of the nature of the completely imputed, it is the nature of other-powered. Being free from objects is the perfectly established nature that is empty of objects, because it is the nature of non-objectification. However, the reason for saying "however" is that for one's own things and actions, they are not existent, nor are they closely grasped, even so, truly taking suchness as the measure, it is also discriminating on what is not true. For what is not true, having the perception of what is true, strongly dedicating one's own close grasping to the non-objective perfect complete enlightenment. Therefore, what is said as "what" is: its roots of virtue and so on. The so-called "also completely liberated from suffering," the word "also" is for the meaning of special. Therefore, it is unreasonable to be overly attached to characteristics and so on. Accompanied by poison is because of bewilderment and death. Accompanied by pain is because of having entered correctly into inverted views for a long time. Showing this with an example: for example, the so-called "for example" and so on. Beautiful is because colors and so on are very excellent. The so-called "however" means if also. The so-called "however" means whatever is done. The so-called "wise ones" are those who know especially. Having the nature of a child is because accompanied by poison, not realizing the ability of death. Having the nature of perverse wisdom is because fabricating benefits and happiness and tasting flavors. The so-called "thinking" is because of attachment to colors and so on. Because of tasting, it is tasting, that is, fully enjoying. The so-called "at the time of requesting" refers to the end. Maturation refers to the fruit. The so-called "wrongly grasping" is because of grasping in reverse at the time of danger. The so-called "wrongly knowing" refers to the time of thinking. The so-called "wrongly expressing" refers to the meaning of manifesting again and again.

At that time. The well-spoken is the nature of the Perfection of Wisdom. Understanding the meaning is done by those who do good deeds such as listening. Not understanding is because of the lack of realization. To dedicate, the word "者" (zhe) here means completeness. As such, the dedication, in which, whoever speaks this, will turn into poison, where poison is the ability to make meaningless. Therefore, it is the meaning of near gathering. Thus, without relying on the Perfection of Wisdom, one cannot enter the act of dedication, as it has been taken. How to dedicate correctly is through the path of following, which the noble Maitreya himself has repeatedly taught. Now, for the sake of truly teaching the Perfection of Wisdom, the Blessed One urges the Elder Subhuti himself, in order to take care of those to be tamed. Furthermore, wanting the Elder to teach the aspect of true dedication, he asks the Elder himself. Again, how should one train, etc. Here, what should be taken is the rejoicing. The answer is, Subhuti said, the Bodhisattva Vehicle, etc. Others who have not seen many volumes, if asked how to take, if dedicated, it will become a well-dedicated dedication to the unsurpassed, perfect enlightenment. After this, what is missing from the ignorant questioners, the five words "Subhuti said" are not seen in one volume. The holy protector Maitreya, again, how should one train, he himself has realized. Here, it should be said that this has made the answer of the Bodhisattva Vehicle, etc. After the words and speech are complete, then the Blessed One said to the venerable Subhuti, "Well done," which is not reasonable. Whoever is here, because he himself shows the answers to them through the door of questioning, to the noble Subhuti, "Well done," to this, the truth.
