The reason is that otherwise, rejoicing and dedication would be unreasonable. The meaning is that it is because one enters by taking the roots of virtue of all Buddhas and so on from the ten directions as objects. The rejoicing of Bodhisattvas, and the roots of virtue, are because one enters into non-things and non-objects. Will one obtain the same as the four inversions? If things and objects exist even slightly, then it will be established that all dharmas exist. If they do not exist, then everything is non-existent. How does one accomplish the dedication to non-objects of things, objects, roots of virtue, and rejoicing and meritorious deeds? Thus, it is said that the Bodhisattva Maitreya, who is fully matured, the Bodhisattva who has realized the wisdom of emptiness, dedicating with that as a sign, is said to exist. Venerable Subhuti, those things, etc. The Elder said: If, etc. Then, will the one who newly realizes emptiness and dedicates not be inverted? Among them, the inverted perception is: for the time being, towards the roots of virtue, etc., which are without self-nature, the thought that these roots of virtue are truly dedicated to Bodhi, this thought is the inverted view of complete imputation. For the complete imputation of such a thought, endurance, desire, establishment, and attachment, are inverted minds. For the object of attachment to that very thing, the mind does not turn back, these are examples of desire for the sake of accomplishment. Desire arises from correctly thinking of a non-existent thing, and this is related. The way to show correct cognition is: impermanence as permanence, etc. Distinguishing and thinking means addition. Thoroughly thinking means that desire arises by clinging to the aspects of permanence, etc. This is also inverted.

Its nature, that is, if one completely conceives of permanence in what is impermanent, and even purity in what is impure, with the consciousness, that is a reversed perception. If one is tolerant and desirous of the complete conception of such a consciousness in that, that is a reversed view. If one is manifestly attached in that way, the all-pervasive afflictions such as attachment in that, then it is called a reversed mind. Thus, attachment is the nature of reversed perceptions and so on. Rejoicing, dedication, and attention are the same as that, because one also takes an object in what should not be taken as an object, it is called reversed. Moreover, the word "moreover" is to make a necessity for the intention of others; the word "mind also" is the mind of dedication. The word "all dharmas" is the general statement. The word "all realms also" is the extensive explanation. If one speaks of faults by saying "if again" and so on, that is "therefore any things" and so on, meaning those connected with the mind of rejoicing. The word "any mind" is the mind of dedication. Because of the lack of self-nature in that, "in what place" means in what. The meaning of "the nature of dedication does not change." The word "in what place" means it is not issued in some place. Here, the noble Maitreya has manifested that very nature, and for the new ones who are separated from relying on and depending on a virtuous friend, he shows emptiness. Here, it is said to be a non-vessel, that is, the noble Subhuti "this is not" and so on, meaning it should not be said as seven kinds, because it is the sutra. What should not be shown is because of the meaning. In the teachings and so on, showing the fault of falling from what has been obtained and falling from what has not been obtained, that is "in that any slight difference" and so on, this should not be, in what place? In rejoicing and dedication and so on. The word "slight" is the meaning of uninterrupted. Faith is the cause of perfect enlightenment, that is, belief. Joy is joy, that is, desiring it. Adoration is because the qualities that exist in any place arise truly from that, following.

Simplicity is being free from the disturbances of the mind. Reverence is reverently not transgressing offerings and so on. Thus, without subsequent practice, what has not been attained is completely lost, especially showing this point. To show that there is no fault in explaining to those who are fully ripened, it is said "non-returning," that is, for the sake of obtaining the first ground. If a new practitioner who has not yet realized Suchness is going to rely on a spiritual friend, then, because of skillful means, approaching the object of focus, the combination of rejoicing and dedication, having special faith in the conventional truth, and relying correctly on the ultimate truth, relying on the non-object, is called the combination of dedication. For this, there is no fault of reversal and regression, and for this, it is said that there is no fault in the explanation, that is, the spiritual friend, who is going to rely on, that is, has relied on. Placement is the inferiority of the mind. Complete dejection is seeing the mind as it is. Timidity is fatigue. Depression is the continuation of fatigue. Fear is the lack of diligence. The fear of Brahma is complete fear. Its continuation is to be accompanied by complete fear. Thus, it is said, there are no obstacles and so on. Now, in order to show that the Theravada school also dedicates the ultimate truth, it is measured in four ways, thereby showing that dedication is unreasonable. With what kind of loving mind, etc., because the mind of rejoicing and the mind of dedication do not meet, and because the mind that focuses on things and the things that are the object of merit do not meet, and because the one who dedicates and the things to be dedicated do not meet, and in order to make the dedication completely non-existent. It is said that the two minds do not meet, that is, with what kind of loving mind does one rejoice, and the mind of dedication has also been exhausted, ceased, separated, and changed, and for this, this is the mind of rejoicing. Exhausted, is a brief indication.
