The great master's skillful means are for the sake of gradually leading sentient beings to enter especially from faith and joy. Here, because doubt precedes, it is reasonable to say, "Why is that?" and so on. Manifestly creating merit means not being able to bear the share of meritorious deeds, and so on. The statement "not being able to bear the share" is said at the beginning and the end, for the sake of connecting it in the middle as well. "Not being able to bear" means not being able to obtain, not the meaning of having obtained. Not even approaching a hundredth part is said in terms of the difference in number. "Also in number" is said by holding the number without distinction. It should be understood that one holds the number other than that. "Also share" is in terms of power. "Also counting" is in terms of kind. For this kind of merit, because the manifest creation of merit arising from honoring stupas and so on is countless. For this distinction, there is no analogy in the world, for what could make merit like that? Similarly, without diminishing the merit from that in number, therefore it was said. "Even an analogy cannot endure" means that there is no analogy even for power. It is also unbearable to indicate by analogy. For what is to be indicated by analogy, there is the suffix "ṣyañ" from its own meaning. It was said that there is no analogy even for kind, "also as a basis," and what is to be taken as a basis is the basis, which is the very act of closely measuring. Just as a tiny banyan seed grows into a banyan tree that is extremely tall and wide, the relationship of cause and effect will arise, saying "also as a cause," because there is no relationship even in the nature of cause and effect. This, being a cause, is not even this. For this, this very meaning should be understood, as the venerable Asanga said: For numbers, power, and kinds, distinguishing the differences in relation, after examining all the worlds, no analogy is found. It was said like that. In the former books, "to be indicated by analogy" and "also as a basis" are not recited. There, by "also analogy," the nature of all analogies is understood.

Should be done. All the close establishments of the great beings, the fruit of this, is that those who should be tamed, have special faith in this, and are taught by "from that" etc., called "taking hold", that is, mainly completely taking hold, because it is the cause of completely taking hold of many sentient beings. "Friend" is a Tibetan word. What is consistent here is "friend Prajnaparamita taking hold" etc., for what should be held, etc., the intention of the accomplishment of the fruit as it is said. Here, in order to show the meaning of the sons of gods, etc., the Blessed One said: "Should be held" etc., here, because of the intention preceding, he truly proclaimed other merits made by Indra. "What is the reason for that?" etc., is the intention of "going, arising" etc. "Should fight" is to make it clear beforehand. "Should fight" is to remember "should drive away". Here, for the desire to fight of the Asuras etc. to be pacified, the Blessed One said through the door of praising Indra: "Great ignorance" etc. is the cause, saying "Great mantra" etc. The three words "Great mantra" etc. have already been said. There is no higher one, because there is no extremely surpassing reason. "There is no above it" is because there is no other reason for slight surpassing. "Unequaled" is because there is no equal. "Unequal and equal" is because there is no slight reduction. If the nature of such a great mantra is like this, how can it be extremely peaceful just by the power of the Asuras etc. not being contaminated? That is the intention. For taking away the power of the Asuras' power, he said to Indra: "Great mantra" etc. is the cause. "It is like this" etc. After permission, the birth of the complete and perfect Buddhas of the three times also shows "Great mantra" etc., that is, "relying on this" etc. The Blessed One also proclaimed other merits of the Bhagavan Mother, that is, "relying on this" etc., that is, "the ten virtuous paths of action".
