This is called "Transcendence." If, in what is taught here, sentient beings are taught, then because they exist, all limits also exist. If those are taught, then this boundless transcendence does not change. Therefore, sentient beings are not taught. Therefore, sentient beings do not exist, and because they do not exist, boundlessness also does not exist. Therefore, because sentient beings are not taught, this is said to be boundless transcendence, which is the meaning of this. This is the first distinction of the retinue and the saying of extremely rare words such as "thereafter." The lords of beings are the four who protect the world. Because of hearing the Dharma of distinction, and because of great joy, the words spoken are specifically declared, so that is specifically declared. "Emaho" means rare. "Dharma" is the Dharma of teaching. Great joy and rarity are two words. The Dharmata of that Dharma is the nature, that is, the very nature of the coming of the Tathagata. Therefore, it is said, "What is," and so on. Coming forth is birth. Speaking and from that word, first slightly clarifying. Then gradually becoming very clear, and for the sake of understanding more clearly than that, it is shown, that is, it is well established in the explanation. The Tathagata is well held, that is, the Dharmakaya is the Buddha-nature of the Tathagata. When Bodhisattvas and others also study there, in truth, the very nature of the Buddha-dharma is that there is no difference between that Bodhisattva and the Tathagata, so that Tathagata himself should be spoken of, which is the meaning of this. Not separated means that there is no complete falling from attainment. To abide means that it is the nature of truly tending towards. For the sake of clarifying the very nature of the Buddha-dharma for Bodhisattvas and others who repeatedly study the Buddha-dharma and so on, the Bhagavan spoke the previous words, that is, "When I," and so on. The Tathagata Dipamkara also, without being separated from the Buddha-dharma and so on, after seeing me, made a prophecy to the Tathagata himself.

Time is dwelling and gathering. The center is the path where bells are hung, going to its center. A young, reciting Brahmin boy, in Tibetan is called a Brahmin boy. At that time, the Bhagavan, being moistened by name, was called 'Moistened by Name,' and with extremely clear wisdom, 'Excellent Intellect.' King Śuddhodana, in his youthful birth, named him 'All Purposes Achieved' because all purposes were achieved. Because he entered the city, at that time, the Shakyas were very arrogant, but he achieved as if he could overcome them, therefore the king gave the young prince a second name, 'Shakya the Conqueror.' As he manifestly and completely awakened to the Dharma, therefore he is called Tathagata. 'Gata' is called 'A' and the etymological letter 'Nga.' Enemies are the afflictions, because they are destroyed, he is an Arhat. As it is, because he realizes the Dharma in ultimate truth, he is a Perfectly Awakened Buddha. This speaks of the perfect teacher. Because one who does not speak and one who speaks perversely is not a teacher. One who speaks perversely is also ignorant due to the power of afflictions, but both of these are absent in him, the meaning is as it is, because he is an Arhat, and because he is a Perfectly Awakened Buddha. How can a samsaric being have such power? What is said is Sugata, because he has gone from samsara, he is a Sugata. The word 'good' is the meaning of 'extremely,' from the world of the three realms. Because he has gone extremely auspiciously, he is a Sugata. Because he has an extremely beautiful form, Sugata is like a beautiful form. Because he is extremely irreversible, like going away after a disease is well healed, he is a Sugata. Because he is extreme, that is, completely, like a well-filled vase, he has gone, therefore he is a Sugata. These three meanings are also for the purpose of distinguishing from outsiders, learners, and non-learners. Among them, because he has gone by the path that transcends the world, because he has gone extremely beautifully, he is a Sugata. Outsiders are not like that, because they see no-self.

Because of not abandoning desire and so on, they are born again, therefore sins and sufferings truly arise. For those who are still learning, even if the fault of not abandoning does not truly arise, nevertheless, when called non-returning, there is still birth and fault. The Blessed One has gone to the state of non-returning, therefore he is the Well-Gone, without remaining afflictions and diseases. Bad body, incomplete wisdom, and disturbance of the path by speech, these are present in the Arhats of the Hinayana who do not learn, but not in the Blessed One. Therefore, he has completely gone, so he is the Well-Gone. How is he the Well-Gone? Because he possesses knowledge and conduct. Knowledge is the practice of higher wisdom training, higher ethical discipline, and higher mental training. Because it is the activity of wisdom, it is said to practice repeatedly. Therefore, knowledge sees like the eyes, and others walk like the feet, therefore he is the Well-Gone. Therefore, these two words proclaim the cause of the teacher's perfection. World-knower means completely knowing the time and non-time for taming, so it is world-knower. The person to be tamed is the one who should be tamed, because he should be tamed. Taming them is truly taming, and even those who are difficult to tame, even those with deep afflictions such as desire, can be tamed, so it is unsurpassed taming. These two words proclaim the teacher's perfect activity. The place of activity is proclaimed: he is the teacher of gods and humans. Even though the Blessed One is the teacher of all beings without distinction, wherever the fruit is obtained, there he mainly acts as the teacher of gods and humans. Who is it that possesses such qualities? It is proclaimed: he is the Buddha, the Blessed One. The aggregates of Dharma related to meaning and related to non-meaning, and the aggregates of Dharma other than that.
