However, what is the point of considering only this difference to be important? Do not follow the majority opinion here. For example, the enemies are the afflictions. Because these afflictions are destroyed, they are called "Arhats," which is exactly what this treatise asserts, considering the contaminated and other phenomena as things to be abandoned. If so, then what is the use of the term "exhaustion of outflows"? Similarly, if it is thought that other differences also have the fault of repetitive argumentation, then, here it is answered: Everything is just Arhat. Why? Because the outflows are exhausted. The exhaustion of outflows is because there are no afflictions. The absence of afflictions is because one has become empowered. As long as the mind is completely liberated by truly knowing everything, that is, obtaining the supreme mastery over all minds, this is what is meant by connecting the relations between qualities. However, what is the meaning of this itself? If one first obtains this supreme mastery over all minds, then, therefore, with that as the reason, that is, the mind is completely liberated by truly knowing everything. As long as one obtains the exhaustion of outflows, one obtains the state of Arhat. Then, how is this reasonable here? Because at what time, through the wisdom of the Arhat path, one obtains the state of Arhat, only at that time does one obtain the qualities such as the exhaustion of outflows. Why is it said that after obtaining the exhaustion of outflows, one obtains the state of Arhat later? Or it is not so, it is not said anywhere. Indeed, it should be distinguished and established, and the reasoned nature made by the nature of that which can be distinguished and established will arise. Because at what time, if it is realized that "they have obtained the supreme mastery over all minds," then, at that time, it is distinguished and established that "they are completely liberated by truly knowing everything." Similarly, as long as at what time it is called "exhaustion of outflows," at that time it is called "Arhat." Thus, after briefly explaining the retinue of monks, there are also nuns, and the retinues of laymen and laywomen, such as "there are about five hundred nuns," etc., the Blessed Mother

Therefore, the topic introduced from the ground should also be understood here, as the Teacher's topic is the same. For this reason, Bodhisattvas should also observe the five aspects of the retinue, as it is said there by countless Bodhisattvas, beginning with "etc." Bodhisattvas are of five types: those with pure superior intention reside on the first ground; those who abide in effort and without characteristics, up to the seventh ground; those who abide in spontaneous accomplishment without characteristics, on the eighth ground; based on that, those who enter into definite conduct, up to the tenth ground; these are also those who are bound by one lifetime. Again, in all Sutras, from the complete common topic of these, the teaching of Prajnaparamita is a special topic. Thereafter, the Blessed One himself sat upon the lion throne, until the Blessed One entered into Samadhi, and from all limbs and near limbs, rays of light certainly emerged, until illuminating the infinite realms of the world. From these, one should understand all "Bodhisattvas etc. leading the retinue" etc. Because the Blessed One, at one time, with the same topic, to the same assembled retinue, showed Samadhi and miraculous displays etc., and then taught the Prajnaparamita. There, there are also many to be tamed gathered, that is, understanding through implication, understanding through elaboration, and understanding through wordplay. Regarding this, although spoken in one word, it can be understood in many ways, for oneself, everyone can understand. With such reasoning, having heard the concise teaching of Prajnaparamita, that is, the Blessed Mother Eight Thousand Verses. For those who understand through elaboration, those with the aspect of elaboration, that is, the Holy Twenty-Five Thousand Verses, those who understand through elaboration, with only a slight difference, the Blessed One...
