In order to reiterate the purity of approaching attainment, such as "If you learn in this way," and so on. This alone has shown the training of samadhi. Now, in order to closely show the training of non-objectification, in order to have Shariputra ask, in essence, the previously spoken words are reiterated, such as "If you learn in this way," and so on. When the time is right, Shariputra, in order to closely show the training of non-objectification, asks the Blessed One, "Then, what Dharma should be learned?" The answer is, "No Dharma should be learned." The meaning is that in the state of Suchness with defilements, due to conceptualization, phenomena are born, cease, are completely defiled, and are completely purified. In relation to this, learning is reasonable. In the state without defilements, those births and so on of Suchness are not present in all ways in all of all phenomena. Therefore, in that state, because all phenomena are not seen, it is said, "No Dharma should be learned." To clarify this, it is said, "Why is that?" Why is it that all phenomena are not learned? The answer is "They do not exist," and so on. "Those phenomena" refers to form and so on. "Children" are those who do not know because of thinking and discriminating with evil thoughts, and who know with doubt, and who possess wrong views. "Ordinary beings" are those who are not noble, and who arise from some who do not possess hearing. Therefore, because there is no discrimination with the wisdom of the nature of hearing, thinking, and meditation, the nature of children is clarified. How do they manifest attachment? It is because of what is truly existent. Similarly, it does not exist in this nature. This speaks of the non-existence by way of the characteristics of the imputed and the dependent. Thus, in the words of negation, uncertainty is spoken. Thus, having heard the uncertainty in the words of negation, Shariputra said, "Then, how do they exist?" Just as they do not exist, they also truly exist.

That which is called "that" refers to the state of being existent by the characteristic of emptiness, the general nature of self, which cannot be expressed by causes that are neither completely conceptualized nor dependent on others. In order to clarify that the general characteristic of that also has a non-dual nature, it is said, "How is it non-existent?" "Thus" means that because of the order just mentioned, it is non-existent, and therefore it is called "ignorance." Just like the consciousness in a dream, because it is not true by itself, it grasps the meaning of non-existence. "Non-existence" is precisely because it is not true. "Existence" is what has become known. Therefore, it is called "ignorance." The intention is that the non-existence of forms and so on, that is, non-existence, is grasped as if it exists, so it is recognized by its non-existent nature, and what has become known by its non-existent nature is called "ignorance." To clarify this point, it is said, "Those," and so on. "That" refers to ignorance with the characteristic of what has been said. In some places, "those" appear, referring to the phenomenon of grasping non-existent things as existent due to the influence of various ignorances, which means clinging to all extreme views such as permanence and annihilation. "Not knowing, not seeing" means not being able to know or see through inference, direct perception, one's own power, or the power of others. Thus, the fault of clinging is generally pointed out, and then it is specifically explained in three ways. That is, starting from "Therefore, those" and ending with "clinging," it explains that ignorance is the root. Starting from "Those" and ending with "go," it explains that discrimination is the root. Starting from "Those who do not believe in the true Dharma," it also explains that disbelief is the root. Among them, the initial "clinging" refers to being in a state of two extreme views. "Its base" refers to its root. "Object" refers to wrong views. "From the dwelling place" refers to relying on. "Past, etc." refers to the self existing with the same nature in the three times.
