Instructions on entering non-conceptualization: A Bodhisattva abiding in the realm of non-conceptualization, Realizes all phenomena as equal to the sphere of non-conceptual wisdom, indistinguishable from knowable objects, like the expanse of the sky. Subsequently, they realize phenomena similar to illusions, mirages, dreams, appearances, echoes, reflections, water moons, and emanations. Thus, by purifying the realm of manifest phenomena from defilements, it is called omniscience in the realm of the Buddha. Why is it said that one who clings to characteristics and has not transcended the nature of complete imputation sees emptiness? This is due to a lack of skillful means. Now, the establishment of reasoning through the teachings themselves is explained, that is, "Shariputra, if..." The establishment of means also has two aspects: the practice of not focusing on phenomena and the practice of focusing on characteristics. The first is "Shariputra, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva does not practice in form..." up to "practices in the Perfection of Wisdom." The second is "They practice, yet they practice..." This also shows the seven ways of not being arrogant about practicing without characteristics. "Not closely conceptualizing" means not grasping. Having explained the establishment of reasoning in this way, the means of quickly realizing perfect enlightenment will be shown. Why is that? Because "all phenomena are not closely conceptualized and not grasped," and so on. This establishment is also shown in four ways: training in samadhi, training in not focusing on all phenomena, training in illusion-like phenomena, and being skilled in means. Why is that? From "all phenomena..." to "training in the Perfection of Wisdom" is the training in samadhi. If one trains in this way, then from "not training in any phenomena..." to "will definitely realize omniscience" is the training in not focusing on all phenomena. Bhagavan, which

Starting from "How to ask in language," and ending with "The six faculties and five aggregates are those," is the teaching of illusion. Starting from "Bhagavan, the new vehicle," and ending with "One should recognize the virtuous spiritual friends," is skillful means. Among them, the teaching of samadhi is explained in two ways: the explanation of names and the explanation of non-discrimination. Among them, in the explanation of names, the very taking of all dharmas and the very act of making them one's own are explained in advance, for the sake of the meaning of the name of samadhi being close to showing the meaning. "Not closely comprehending" is the teaching. "Because of not grasping" is the explanation. Taking all dharmas, and that which has become without the nature of imputation and other-dependence, the samadhi, for whom is that spoken. This also, the cause of quickly manifesting complete enlightenment, samadhi, as it is said, and so on. This samadhi is also the cause of prophecy, and even to closely represent it, others cannot do it without the power of the Buddha, so again it is specially emphasized and said: Specially emphasized and spoken by the power of the Buddha, it is called "by the power of the Buddha." "Prophecy" means that by uttering the correct name, after explaining the dwelling place of samadhi, it is said again for the sake of discrimination: "That samadhi is also not truly seen," because in the state of perfect accomplishment, for all dharmas, only suchness is obtained. This is samadhi, this is equipoise, and so on, because all imputations are completely non-existent, therefore the discrimination of samadhi, and the equality in self

How does one abide, making such statements as 'not seeing correctly'? What does 'by what' mean, and so on? Can that samadhi be shown? This means making such presumptions: if one cannot show the difference of samadhi, then how does one say that it abides? But if one can speak of the difference, then how is it that samadhi is not seen correctly? Subhuti said: 'It is not so.' This means thinking in this way: in the state of complete accomplishment, all dharmas are one only by suchness. How can samadhi be distinguished, saying, 'This is samadhi, and the bodhisattva is something else'? 'Does not know, does not know correctly' means by inference or by direct perception, or by the power of instruction, or by one's own power. Therefore, Shariputra, with the intention of asking, 'If samadhi is non-existent, how can one know it correctly?' asks, 'Does not know,' and so on. Therefore, because Subhuti has no conception of samadhi, he says, 'Does not know,' and so on. But if in another direction, the display of samadhi is seen, and other activities are seen, how is it that samadhi is not known correctly? 'Why is that?' This is said with doubt: 'Because that samadhi is non-existent.' This means that samadhi and its activities are spoken of as the nature of complete imputation by the nature of complete imputation. The meaning is that by abandoning the characteristics of complete imputation, it is not the object of proximity by its very non-existence. The Blessed One bestows the word 'good' upon this training in samadhi and encourages following it. Then, the Blessed One, and so on, says that if such a training in samadhi does not have the blessing of the Thus-Gone One, it is shown for the sake of effort and for others. 'How do you,' and so on, is said. Similarly, 'this' and so on is an abbreviated expression. The venerable Shariputra said.
