The perfection of applying to practice, and the perfection of attaining mastery by manifesting the conduct of the Perfection of Wisdom, and the perfection of abandoning faults by not manifesting the ultimate limit. To be liberated by the lesser vehicle, having truly transcended the equality of the Dharma of Bodhisattvas by not regarding the benefit of sentient beings, is a fault of Bodhisattvas. "By this," and so forth, is in the order of what was spoken. Because much was spoken, what was spoken for the sake of holding the definitive meaning is: whatever is "of all dharmas," and so forth. By "although practicing in the nature of Dharma," it is said that one does not consume the obstacles of the path. Even so, for those who are harmed by the sufferings of samsara, one does not manifest because one regards the benefit of sentient beings, but performs what is difficult. Subhuti (rab 'byor), who acknowledges immeasurable sentient beings, is said to be the most joyful among those who possess the concept that sentient beings do not exist, as in "these," and so forth. "Those to be tamed" refers to those sentient beings who are to be tamed by the three vehicles. "Because space is empty," means that space is merely a term for that which is without obscuration, therefore space is not insignificant. Similarly, because it is separated from self and so forth, sentient being is merely a term, not some actual sentient being. Thus, if space and sentient beings are spoken of as being equal, then the same is said of the armor of space and sentient beings, as in "together with space," and so forth. If someone were to say that they would make space, because space does not exist, it is not possible to contemplate it. Therefore, there is no dispute with it (space). Similarly, because sentient beings do not exist, one does not think of oneself as being liberated. Although there is no sentient being called self and so forth that is separate from the five aggregates, the nature of the five aggregates does exist, so it is said that even the basis of the term sentient being, such as form, does not exist, as in "because sentient beings are empty," and so forth. "Do not be afraid for the sake of emptiness," means that if

Therefore, if a Bodhisattva sees himself through the nature of any object, then he will be discouraged, that is its meaning. The term "any dharma" refers to the objects of my speech, such as the aggregates. The term "will not be discouraged" is because he himself does not exist. It is precisely because of this that it is said, "What is the reason for that?" The term "any of those dharmas" refers to the aggregates, etc., or the mind. The term "that dharma also" and so on. The term "by which dharma" refers to the mind. The term "which dharma" refers to the Bodhisattva. World Honored One, it is just so, after the World Honored One acknowledged it, he spoke of how the Bodhisattva conducts himself on that, namely, "Subhuti, however," and so on. The term "saying" refers to the scriptures. The term "explanation" refers to the meaning. The term "showing" refers to speaking without omission. The term "near showing" refers to speaking secrets. The term "will not be discouraged" refers to not being inferior. The term "not tired" refers to being weary. The term "not having weariness" refers to being weary at all times. The term "not discouraged" refers to the mind being subdued. The term "completely not discouraged" refers to being subdued at all times. The term "turning away" refers to turning the back. The term "destroying and turning away" refers to no longer appearing. The term "not fearing" refers to appearing facing fear. The term "completely not fearing" refers to completely not fearing. The term "not having complete fear" refers to because it is always so. The term "acting in the Prajnaparamita" refers to what should be known. Acting in this, and speaking of the difference in benefits, namely, "if" and so on. The term "benefit" refers to especially praising. The term "remembrance" refers to from remembrance. The Buddhas, World Honored Ones, also teach the Dharma to them, which is related to this. If asked, "What is it like?", the answer is "the Sangha of the Hearers" and so on. If asked, "What is it like?", the answer is "acting in the Prajnaparamita" and so on. The name is the designation. The lineage is completely perfect.
