Since there is still a little existence, why is it called Śrāvaka Bodhi? The meaning is that the Śrāvakas also enter the realm of Nirvāṇa without remainder, and extinguish the elaborations of the nature of what is completely imputed and other-dependent, thereby truly realizing that only emptiness is the ultimate nature. How to elaborate? It is as established by the venerable Asanga in the Compendium on the Great Vehicle. Therefore, the venerable Nāgārjuna also said, "In the Great Vehicle of Non-arising, emptiness is other than cessation. Cessation and non-arising are one. Therefore, be patient with this in meaning." It's like this. Therefore, because there is no self-nature in what is completely imputed and other-dependent, when it is manifested that it does not exist, the Bodhisattva can see the true limit. As for the Śrāvakas, regarding the completely imputed and other-dependent natures of suffering and so on, in Nirvāṇa without remainder, they eliminate the rootless reality, and with equality, abide in the nature of the object to be focused on and the subject focusing on equality, seeing only emptiness, and accomplish it with the wisdom of manifesting the true limit. It is not possible to rejoice in the emptiness of self-realization. That is also called the liberation body of the Śrāvakas. As it is said, "This is the body of peaceful liberation, which is called the Dharma of the Great Sage." It's like this. Therefore, the Vaibhāṣikas believe that that state is unpredicted. That state is also the perfect and complete enlightenment of the nature of not abiding in Saṃsāra and Nirvāṇa because it is separated from the two conventional bodies. Regarding Nirvāṇa with remainder, they have not seen the self of Dharma, and it should be understood as such. Again, how does a Bodhisattva abiding in the Samādhi of emptiness not manifest emptiness? This is the meaning of what the Elder asks, that is, it is said that emptiness should be distinguished, which means abiding in emptiness. The true limit is not manifested.

It is said that it is not realized. How can it be reasonable to ask, "How can it be reasonable to say that one abides in it and does not realize it?" Therefore, the Blessed One shows that this arises from the power of previous intentions. Just as the intention of the hearers is to realize cessation, the bodhisattva does not have the intention to realize emptiness. Emptiness is to be cultivated and increased, and this arises from this very intention. Therefore, later it is also said that the bodhisattva only directly realizes the cultivation of emptiness, which is endowed with all aspects such as signlessness and wishlessness, which is the meaning of this. Therefore it is said: This is the time to be completely familiar, etc. The power of being completely familiar and knowing is this, because it is completely familiar with emptiness, but it is not realized. When not in meditative equipoise, one makes the mind focus on the object, which means that in the time of complete familiarity and knowledge, the mind of the bodhisattva is not completely in meditative equipoise. Therefore, there is no abiding in that moment. Because there is no abiding, one does not generate the path that transcends the world, which is to show that the interval is that, that is, when one is not completely ripened in this Dharma of the Buddha. This refers to emptiness. Just like emptiness, one should also be completely familiar with the doors of liberation, such as signlessness and wishlessness, as it is said, "When is the time," etc. Thus, it refers to being connected with the meaning of complete familiarity, and it is not the direct realization of the extreme of reality. Showing refers to being completely in accordance with the roots of virtue, etc., that are nearly attained. In some cases, only showing is proclaimed. In order to show the meaning of what is said, for example, it is explained by metaphors, etc. Courageous means without fear. Diligence means joy. Abiding means stable. Good form means...
