Both of these are not present. Among them, the first aspect of saying 'not present' refers to 'this is merely swallowing'; the second aspect of saying 'not present' refers to 'he gives, practices giving,' and so forth. 'Those who remember and those who generate mind' refers to those who practice giving. 'Those roots of virtue' refers to being perfectly in accordance with those mind generations. 'Dedicating as is Bodhi' means that such dedication will not change for the sake of Bodhi. Similarly, the following content should also be examined. The tenth question asked is: 'What is this again?' This is because, for perfect Bodhi, the ultimate nature is no different from form, etc. To ask with the intention of making such nature the essence is to do so repeatedly and continuously. 'Much' means continuously. 'Subhuti, like that,' etc., is a summary. The chapter that focuses on emptiness is the eighteenth chapter on emptiness. In the chapter of the profound 'I' of 'I', the eleventh question speaks of 'What else' and so on. By accumulating roots of virtue, one can manifest the unsurpassed, perfectly complete Bodhi. So, how is it said to be accumulated? Suppose this Bodhisattva, prior to the three great countless eons, with the strength of the very first mind generation, will manifest enlightenment, or with the second or third? Or, when this Bodhisattva is seated at the Bodhi tree, with the strength of the very last mind generation of all, will manifest enlightenment? To this, it is not by obtaining perfect Bodhi with a single-pointed mind, because it does not have such power, and the completely superfluous accumulation of merit would become meaningless. It is also not by all mind generations, because those momentarily different mind generations do not have accumulation. To show this, the Bhagavan Lamp Wick Treasury taught as such. The wick of a ghee lamp is the lamp. 'The first aspect' refers to that itself.

It is not that the remaining essence is burned up, but merely that it is made the object of burning. Similarly, it should be applied to the part where the flame does not touch the back. This is precisely what is clarified by Subhuti, as indicated by phrases such as "It is not so." For the burning up of the essence without remainder, it should be proven by all the flames touching in the order of its own parts. The main thing that the Blessed One combines is the words of Subhuti, such as "Thus, thus." Just as the essence of a lamp is burned up, it is said to be burned by the power of all moments. Similarly, it should also be explained that the power of all sentient beings can also realize perfect complete enlightenment, even if there is only one moment, it can be transformed by the reasoning of entrusting the habitual tendencies of actions. Those who generate Bodhicitta are also not so, because they do not have the ability individually. It is not said that they do not have the ability, but that no one other than those who generate Bodhicitta can realize perfect complete enlightenment. Furthermore, revealing the profound place, that is, "Which mind ceases, will it arise because of that?" The so-called "cessation" refers to the cessation of self-nature, unconditioned, like a rabbit's horn. The answer is "It is not so," then how does a rabbit's horn arise? "Is the mind that arises of the nature of destruction?" The conditioned mind spoken of here refers to which is of the nature of destruction, it will be destroyed, because there is no second destruction, so is the mind that arises of the nature of destruction? If someone asks, what is the nature of destruction when the mind that has truly arisen is in the future when it has not yet arisen? The answer is "It is not so," because the unborn thing has no connection with any dharma. Therefore, it is said that when it has the nature of destruction, there is also no destruction, the answer is "It is not so." Is the mind that does not arise not of the nature of destruction? What is said here is the mind of the nature of dharma without beginning or end, and it will not be destroyed, because the mind is free from permanence and annihilation.
