It is because the mind is completely pure. The reason for faith is stated, starting from "his body," etc. Because it has lice, it is louse-ridden. Because it is counted among "the anus," etc., it is cardamom. Cleanliness is purity. Harm is suffering. A fault is harming others. A species of worms is a collection of worms. Whatever exists is what will be born, because it eats the body. Why is that? Because it says "starting from...," without a difference in cause, it is not in accordance with the nature of uncommon ripening, so the reason is stated, which is "thus," etc. What is called "manifestly superior" is that which has individual differences. Complete purity of body is completely abandoning the misdeeds of the body. Complete purity of speech is abandoning falsehood, etc. Complete purity of mind is generating a mind that is free from harmful thoughts, etc. Because body and speech are pure, because they precede the mind, therefore, making them independent, it is declared, which is "how should it be understood," etc. Because it is done with a small mind, and because of little desire and non-distraction. The method of concealing one's own faults is deceit. To truly show one's own non-existent qualities in order to deceive others is hypocrisy. Deceitfulness is deceit itself. An action with the purpose of deceiving others is flattery. The so-called "going beyond" is because one does not desire the ground of the Hearers, etc. For the mind itself being completely pure, some fruits are made separately, and emphasis is placed on faith, etc., the seventh sign is declared, starting from "furthermore," etc., up to "should be upheld." It is the nature of being separated from assemblies, and with compassion, it does not have many afflictions such as jealousy. Precisely because of this, one does not cling to Dharma robes, etc. Because for those who do not have a complete mind and do not have compassion, it is possible to cling to Dharma robes, etc. Truly not being timid is because, with truly complete wisdom, one especially believes in the profound Dharma. The so-called "firm mind" is because even others cannot shake their minds. The so-called "deep mind" is that which grasps emptiness as it is.
