That is, from the contaminated, what is the uncontaminated Suchness? The statement "in this Suchness" means that the meaning is clear. The statement "if there is no object of focus in the three aspects" is because Suchness is non-different and uninterrupted, possessing a single nature. Furthermore, is Suchness also objectifiable in some way? The answer is: by the nature of the apprehended and the apprehender, that is, by the very nature of things themselves. The statement "without distinction" is because there is no distinction even from its own nature. The statement "without differentiation" is from the perspective of distinction. The statement "cannot be made different" is from not focusing on the different causes of the three types of Bodhisattvas. The words "from unsurpassed Bodhi, this Bodhisattva Mahasattva will definitely arise" are the questions asked by the retinue who wish to understand the characteristics of the definite arising that comes from abiding after hearing these words, starting from "unsurpassed," and so on. "To abide" is from generating intention. "To train" is from habituation. Below, abiding is shown through the perfection of intention and the perfection of application. Starting from "one should generate equanimity towards all sentient beings," up to "until one becomes the protector of all sentient beings," is the perfection of intention. Starting from "one should abide in turning away from all evils," up to "until one rejoices in accordance with that," is the perfection of application. Below, the fruit of application is from the aspect of being without obscuration, until it transforms into the nature of the holy Dharma abiding and being without obscuration. Among these, in order to clarify "one should abide equally towards all sentient beings," it is "one should generate equanimity towards all sentient beings," that is, by the power of the Suchness of all dharmas. In this perfection of intention, ten types of minds are spoken of, namely: equanimity, loving-kindness, beneficial mind, unwavering mind, mind that crushes pride, unobstructed mind, compassionate mind, mind without superiority, and so on.
