Thus it is said. The greatness of suchness is spoken of as "that is this suchness," and so on. The attainment of the name of the Tathagata is because the Lord said, "Subhuti, the so-called Tathagata is the supreme word of true suchness." Going to suchness is attainment. Because he abides in one self-nature, he is called the Tathagata. What is said to occur in this teaching is said by "even at the time of this teaching," and so on. How the six kinds of changes and the eighteen great signs change, from moving to roaring. The six kinds of changes are moving, shaking, vibrating, commotion, flashing, and roaring. These, such as moving, arise from two causes: the joy and great joy arising from the powerful gods hearing the holy Dharma, and the circumambulation and commotion from the sound of the sun. Also, in the stable world, in order to make the Dharma taught by the past Tathagatas the lord of Dharma, it is by the power of Dharma-nature for the sake of knowing the meaning of the great self. Moving is moving intermittently on one side. Shaking is shaking with all self-nature like trees. Vibrating is rotating like a wheel of fire. Commotion is the sound of certain robbing, not making it extremely frightening. The sound of the commotion itself, flashing and deep, is roaring. Or the movement of the earth and the shaking of all the trees, and the vibration of all the earth-holders, and the commotion of the drums of the gods, and the flashing of the oceans and so on, and the roaring of the clouds. In the first stage of these, what is seen is slow and calm, which is what is to be expressed. It is said by moving and shaking, and so on. Later it will become more intense, which is expressed by "extremely moving, extremely shaking," and so on. Later it became greater, which is what is said by "universally extremely moving, universally extremely shaking," which is moving, and so on.

Those small, medium, and large generally express their intention in the same way, so they are called six transformations. The small, medium, and large themselves want to express differences, so they will become eighteen great signs. As it is said, it refers to Tathagata and so on. After showing the great signs in this way, it explains that the teaching will be related to the main content of the abiding excellent birth. In addition, the abiding excellent birth said to those sons of gods, this chapter is not available in some places, because there is no connection. Narrating the great signs is the words of the compiler, so the compiler created the opportunity to show the main content, and the other content remains the same. So, whose words will these words become? So, the sons of gods, etc., are a summary of the followers who were completely established before. Another saying is, another etc. It is not born according to form, because there is no form. Because the abiding does not exist, it is not born according to form. The abiding does not exist, this is to be proved, it is not obvious, this is the reason. Who, refers to those dharmas that become the cause of birth, etc. The abiding is the author. Following birth, refers to the agent case of the author. What, refers to form, etc. Following birth is the object case of the action. So, this is the summary. However, the non-existence of following birth itself is shown by the order of what is said, so how is it summarized again? It means that because it does not exist in parikalpita and paratantra, the abiding also does not have the nature of parikalpita and paratantra, so it has become the nature of parinispanna. The abiding of parinispanna is following birth, because both have the nature of suchness. Thus, because there is no difference, so to the parinispanna Tathagata, it is said that the abiding of parinispanna is following birth.
