Because there is no thorough investigation at any time. Therefore, know that for that statement, the mind with desire, if it is not as it is, is untrue. Abandoning it, fully knowing in the manner of reality, is the meaning of this. The so-called "mind free from desire" is because it is not in accordance with desire, so it is the antidote to desire. Then, how is the mind of no learning free from desire? Because desire is not observed in its continuum, and it is not an antidote. The antidote itself is not like that, controlled by the power of complete abandonment and complete aversion, and so on. If the mind of no learning is not the antidote to abandoning desire, or complete aversion is also the antidote. The so-called "mind free" is because it is free from desire, so it itself is with desire. For the mind free from desire, it cannot be said in conventional terms that it is with desire. The reality of the mind free from desire is such that it is not the mind with desire, and for "suchness" is emptiness, that is not with desire, this is how it is expressed. It should be known that freedom from desire itself will also appear, meaning that the mind's own possession of desire and its own freedom from desire are also non-existent in the ultimate sense. In conventional terms, in the manner of imputation, one cannot speak of freedom from desire and possession of desire. In the same way, the commentary on the so-called "mind with hatred" should also be explained. The so-called "those with hatred," hatred is hatred. Different from those with desire, etc., is because for this one, it is entirely the behavior of desire. The so-called "mind not vast" is because it is vast with pure Dharma, and because it approaches sentient beings with the great Dharma of Bodhisattvas such as compassion. Vastness refers to the virtuous mind. The opposite of this is what has become not great.

So-called "no coming" and so on, meaning that the non-great nature itself is determined by other great natures. The so-called "going," if it is said to be determined by going and coming, then the wisdom of the Tathāgata does not see it that way, but sees it as the self-nature of no thing. Therefore, the non-great mind does not exist as the so-called non-greatness. Therefore, truly knowing these is referring to this no-thing. Among them, coming from far to near is no coming. Going from near to far is going. Universally going belongs to. The so-called "by equality," meaning that the Dharma-nature of the minds of equality is emptiness, therefore it is equal. Their self-nature is emptiness, therefore through emptiness it is non-great equality. The explanation of "not vast" is put forward from some explanation of non-greatness, ahead of manifesting and combining with realization. Vastness refers to the vastness of objects and so on. Not having that is not vast. The so-called "not corresponding with universal arising," universal arising refers to birth, because there is no that, so not corresponding with arising is no birth and emptiness, combining with that is not corresponding with universal arising. Belonging to no universal arising is due to its self-nature. The so-called "those minds do not diminish" and so on, the diminution of other minds is not, the increase of vast minds is not, not separating from both is complete destruction. However, relying on the Prajñāpāramitā, that vast mind has no separation, because it is seen as the self-nature of emptiness, and it is said that the mind is known to be vast. In the expression of "separation," because it is separated from all realizations, separation is the Dharmadhatu itself. Starting from "Subhuti, furthermore" and so on, it shows the immeasurable mind, which is the immeasurable without support, saying this is because the immeasurable itself is universally present, or shape.

It comes into being by depending on that. The Tathagata does not see the immeasurable mind in this way, but sees that all minds are without support, that is, without abiding. Having seen in this way, he truly knows the immeasurable mind as it is, that is what is said. This commentary was not in the previous books, therefore it is said to be an addition. "Demonstrable" means that demonstration refers to the characteristics of impermanence etc. here, because it corresponds to the mind in the situation of hearing etc., therefore it is demonstrable. "Equally demonstrable" means that when those minds that are equal to the self-nature of suchness are realized by the wisdom beyond the world, then it is said to be equally demonstrable. Therefore, the self-nature of the mind, the self-nature of the mind is the Dharma-nature of the mind. That is the self-nature, because these all exist in it, therefore it is the self-nature of the mind, this is an inconspicuous collection between words. "Undemonstrable" means that which is said to have characteristics, those characteristics of impermanence etc., when meditating deeply, naturally and repeatedly contemplating, then it is said to be undemonstrable. Again, by contemplating one's own nature, how does the Tathagata truly know the conventional nature of all minds? What is said is "without characteristics" etc. The characteristic of the mind is attachment, that is one's own characteristic, because that is not there. The meaning is the self-nature of things, because it is separated from that, therefore the mind is invisible. Saying invisible means that it does not appear to all eyes, saying that the mind is imputed, that is also not existing by its self-nature, because it is non-existent. What is seen will also not appear to the eyes, therefore it is said to mean not appearing. "Three" refers to the flesh eye, the divine eye, and the wisdom eye. "All" also includes the Dharma eye and the Buddha eye. In short, there are four types of eyes, namely grasping form and
