It is because it is unreal like an illusory elephant. For that very reason, it is not apparent to the eyes of those who see Suchness. "All" refers to the three that have already been explained. It is said that the eyes of Dharma and Buddhas are included in the eye of wisdom itself. Similarly, in order to truly show all the actions of the minds of all sentient beings with the nature of emptiness, the Tathagatas and the world Showing and closely gathering are like that, and so on. Now, in order to show separation and so on, showing the world means showing others and so on. Other sentient beings are generally sentient beings. Other people are those who especially want the world. Separating upwards means showing, causing to rise. Relying on the minds of heretics with inverted views, those who are separated by the power of clinging and the power of the extreme of superimposition. The stream of mind that firmly clings with the power of grasping at annihilation and the power of the extreme of slander is blocked. Abiding in form, and as long as abiding in consciousness, and so on. All of those arise from the five aggregates, saying that relying on the five aggregates, knowing those, means knowing those as they are. The question of how to know those comes first, and the heretics show it with ten metaphors, which is like going like that, and so on. How others go to their own liberation, so this also goes, is the Tathagata. For some heretical practitioners, this view of self-liberation arises, and what appears after death is birth. How will this be born? Some rely on the worldly path to subdue afflictions. Some generate supernormal powers such as knowing the minds of others by the worldly path itself. Those who know the minds of others, for those, some say liberation, it appears like this. For those, having died at another time, there are other

Due to the correct arising of afflictions and karma, one sees birth with the divine eye and develops such a view: the Thus-Gone One has passed away, and after death, there will be arising. Others also suppress afflictions through worldly paths, thereby being born into non-ideational beings or formless beings. Still others see the Thusness of birth with the divine eye. Seeing the five aggregates themselves as sentient beings with the divine eye, these individuals become holders of such views: the Thus-Gone One has passed away, and after death, there will be no arising. Still others, like the former, suppress afflictions, and some of them are born into non-ideational realms. Some are born elsewhere, and unlike them, some with clairvoyance see birth as before, while others do not see it, and these individuals become holders of such views: the Thus-Gone One has passed away, and after death, there is both arising and non-arising. Still others, having seen these two situations, cling only to various letters and not to various meanings. These individuals become holders of such views: the Thus-Gone One has passed away, and after death, there is neither arising nor non-arising. All these views arise dependent on the five aggregates, such as form. Therefore, it is said to be dependent on form. Similarly, it is said to be dependent on feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness. For example, having seen the appearance of form, etc., the thought arises: this sentient being or I am of good or bad appearance. Similarly, having seen the formations pervaded by happiness and suffering, the thought arises: this or I am endowed with happiness or endowed with suffering. Having seen a formation with such a name, the thought arises: this or I am of the royal lineage or Brahmin lineage, even giving the Buddha or virtuous spiritual friend through words. Having seen a formation separated from virtuous and non-virtuous actions, the thought arises: this or I am clever or wise. Having seen the following of knowledge to an object,

Or the thought arises, "I see this." Therefore, my mind is the object of the five aggregates. Furthermore, does the thought called "I" grasp the meaning of direct perception, or does it grasp the meaning of inference? In the first case, the aggregates such as form are themselves directly perceived, not other sentient beings. Nor is it grasping the meaning of inference, because even for children, without any instruction, the statement "I" suddenly arises, acknowledging the harm to the self, so it is not grasping by inference either. These knowledges, although conventional truths, appear profound and deep, and are fully known and realized by the Buddha, the Bhagavan, alone through his own wisdom, and are completely understood. The Bhagavan almost completely knows the cause, ultimate truth, fruit, metaphor, liberation, and place of origin of these views, including their forms and teachings. Others cannot predict these views in this way. Similarly, in the eternal view that is being explained, "I" is the sentient world, and "world" is the container world. "Eternal" is true, and the rest is ignorance. "Impermanent" is true, and the rest is ignorance. How do views such as eternal arise? Here, some ascetics or Brahmins, through external paths, generate the recollection of past lives, remembering many eons, hundreds of thousands of eons, or hundreds of thousands of births. They are skilled in dependent origination, and only remember past actions, but do not know them as they are, only seeing the difference between perception and feeling, but not seeing the difference in their own characteristics. Therefore, they become holders of such views: I and the world are eternal, because they correctly rely on the divine eye, or they do not fully understand the continuity of the momentary destruction of actions, now.
