By relying on the correct object of support, non-apprehension arises excellently. By relying on non-apprehension, non-objectification also arises excellently. This is its meaning. By relying on the object of the mere-consciousness, non-apprehension arises. By relying on the non-existence of objects, non-apprehension also arises towards mere-consciousness, this is what it means. To explain this very meaning, it is said: Since both are not apprehended, the aspects of both disappear. By being separated from them, it is perfectly accomplished, and the non-duality is realized. This is its meaning. This non-duality is not merely non-duality like a rabbit's horn, because that would lead to falling into the extreme of non-existence. However, it transcends all expressions, is the realm of activity of noble beings, and is the ultimate truth of emptiness to be known individually by oneself. This also considers the gradual entry into the two teachings, therefore in one sutra, there are no sutras that are in accordance with non-apprehension, other than those that are in accordance with emptiness. However, the order of the teachings is like this. Therefore, in the 'Holy Lankavatara Sutra' it says: 'Not abiding in mind-only, one should transcend external objects. Abiding in that object, one should also transcend mind-only.' This is its meaning. Placing the Prajnaparamita in the mind is clinging. Its qualities are the benefits. Completely explaining these is also a chapter, it is the tenth chapter. Then, in order to completely abandon the works of Mara, the works of Mara are explained in detail. As stated in the previous chapter, the evil Mara is very numerous, and approaches in order to create obstacles. Then, by all means, obstacles must be completely eliminated. If the works of Mara are not fully understood, it is not easy to completely eliminate them. Therefore, for this purpose, with the establishment of these qualities as a preliminary, the question is "these qualities", because if there are no qualities, there is no need to accomplish it, and if obstacles are not completely eliminated, how will these qualities arise? In order to specifically explain this point, the question is asked with the nature of knowledge, which is "how many", and in some versions, it is read as "some", and there it is "what".

"What" refers to questioning the pursuit of meaning. "Creating obstacles" refers to the explanation of the general characteristics of the works of demons. "What kind of states will arise" refers to questioning the specific characteristics. Here, as long as it obstructs the practice of even a small portion of the Prajnaparamita, all of that is the work of demons. Furthermore, it is shown in summary as "immeasurable," in order to show how much. What the Blessed One said is "their," and so on. "Explaining" refers to representing the ten nearly complete Dharma practices, such as questioning and offering. "Diligent for a long time" means that because diligence arises for a long time towards letters, meanings, and etymology, therefore those who realize will become diligent, and this is the work of demons. "Even if born" means that because it is unstable, one will be distracted before speaking of any results, and so on. Or, if one does not proceed correctly, one will be completely destroyed. "Arrogance" refers to having pride. "We are very skilled in copying, etc." means that with this arrogance, one will not correctly practice questioning, etc., with respect. "Noisy and quarreling" refers to arguing in some aspects. Among them, the one who shows is noisy or closely noisy to each other. "Quarreling" refers to mutually completely noisy increasing. "Mind distracted" means that the mind is absent-minded due to the realization of objects, etc. "Completely understand" means that in order to show the ultimate, one should also understand "will explain," and so on. "Discriminating consciousness completely corresponding to others" refers to having views that tend towards other treatises. The statement "discriminating consciousness corresponding to each other" means that it is copied for the purpose of protecting the mind mutually, but not because of faith. "If one does not obtain memory" refers to focusing on copying, etc. "Laughing at each other," etc., previously it has been shown "completely understand," therefore copying and holding, etc., should all be included. Here, it refers to the difference of merely copying.
