It is briefly stated. It is called the Mother Prajñāpāramitā. Those refer to the ten aspects of distracting appearances of conceptualization. 'Briefly stated' means that it is declared by truly summarizing and compiling. This means that, as it is, the Tathāgata of supreme wisdom truly summarized and compiled and declared the Prajñāpāramitā, which is the meaning of the words being taught. How was it taught? The statement begins with 'the Teacher' and so on. Because there is a Bodhisattva in this, it is called a Bodhisattva. 'There is a Bodhisattva' means that it is indicated by 'having'. 'Distraction of conceptualization of non-things' means that it is conceptualized as the nature of non-things, hence it is conceptualization of non-things. That itself is distraction, because it is the cause of universal delusion. What does it do? It is to stop, to eliminate. Who does that? By the Teacher, because he protects from the enemy of afflictions and saves from the fear of bad destinies, so the Teacher is the Tathāgata. How to stop? Because he sees the aggregates as conventional. What exists conventionally is conventional. The aggregates are form, feeling, etc., because seeing them, that is, because of the cause of conceptualization, the distraction of conceptualization of non-things is eliminated. Thus, for the intention of the Bodhisattva who is a beginner, the Blessed One sees and knows the aggregates as conventional, and for the sake of abandoning the view of annihilation, he eliminates the distraction of conceptualizing non-things. This is what is said. Because the meaning of the Mother Prajñāpāramitā is combined with the Eight Thousand Verses, it is said, 'This with the Eight Thousand Verses, etc.' 'This with' refers to explaining the meaning of the Mother. The word 'etc.' in 'Eight Thousand Verses, etc.' includes the Hundred Thousand Verses, etc. There, 'Starting from the first word' means starting from holding the first word. Among them, the first word is: Subhuti, you in the Prajñāpāramitā.

From that beginning, please speak of how Bodhisattva Mahasattvas can definitely enter into Prajñāpāramitā. To say "until complete" means until the ultimate of completion. To say "should be prevented" means to eliminate and dispel the conceptualization of the unreal. To say "unreal conceptualization" means that because the words in the book are hidden, it is said: In the nature of unreal things, conceptualization is unreal. This is the meaning of the nature of annihilation. If asked, how is it? The answer is: Because of establishment. Because of establishment, it is what is to be established, that is, the nature of reality, that is, because of that which is established. Thus, from the first word until complete perfection, whatever language establishes, in those languages, whatever follows and narrates the established meaning, that is like this, for example, Bodhisattva, Indra, and Prajñāpāramitā, etc. Such narrations should be known as those that strive to eliminate the view of annihilation. Here, only the place where the established meaning is followed and narrated is spoken of with the word of establishment. If asked, how is it determined that establishment can eliminate the conceptualization of the unreal? The answer is: What is said is: These are not valid reasons, etc. By the word "reason," the principle is stated. These are not words of reason, nor are they words of establishment, but only some actions are mentioned. These words also speak of action, that is, what should be done and what should be established accordingly, this is being narrated. If asked, if the meaning is not approved by reason, then how can those who aim at wisdom be completely satisfied? Therefore, the answer is: What is said is: Reason is like the Brahma Net, etc. Whatever sutras are like the Brahma Net Sutra, etc., by the word "etc.," it includes the Dense Array, etc. In all these sutras, the Blessed One himself spoke with reason. To say "completely" means in all those things that should show such and such meaning. To say "should be known" means should be understood.

O! What is called "wisdom" is measurement. Here, "to be manifestly attached to the very meaning of what has become certain" is the meaning of speech. Therefore, in this way, by eliminating the distraction of conceptualization of non-entities, it is shown to be the very enemy of conceptualization of entities. Now, again, it is shown from the point of view of contradiction, so what is said is: I, the Bodhisattva, etc., by the extensive ones. That is to say, the Bodhisattva is not seen, which is the near negation of the meaning of the Mother, the Perfection of Wisdom. For beginners, the nature of the Bodhisattva is particularly clung to because it is not realized as suchness. What I say refers to oneself. The many words such as "the Bodhisattva is not seen" are extensive. For example, the Bodhisattva and such a nature, the Perfection of Wisdom is not seen, and so on, like that and so on. This teaching also diminishes the delusion of conceptualization of entities. What is called an entity refers to form and so on. Its conceptualization is the conceptualization of entities, that is, clinging to what is not as it is as it is. That itself is a delusion, a complete delusion, because it is actually false. Who is it that eliminates it? It is the Bhagavan, the Bhagavan is the Tathagata. How does one repel it? What is said is: Because even the name is not seen, and so on. For what reason is it not seen and not realized? What is not seen? Even the name, that is, the name Bodhisattva, whatever is established as a name, is not realized by wisdom. Moreover, the word "moreover" indicates that other things should be put aside for the time being. Not only the name, but also the field of activity is not realized. What is called the field of activity refers to the object, and there also is the Perfection of Wisdom, which has the characteristics of the path of the Bodhisattvas. Similarly, the action is also not realized, thus following. Action is universal behavior, that is, following.
