Immaculate and emptiness, non-emptiness and characteristics, without characteristics and aspiration, without aspiration, etc., do not discriminate in those, that is the definition of it. The so-called way of not focusing, that is, also following and observing it, not discriminating, is the function of existing without focusing, which is the definition of it. Diligent person with mindfulness, with mindfulness and eliminating worldly desires and worries, among them, diligently practicing constantly and respectfully, hence called diligent. With the wisdom of following observation and mindfulness, truly paying attention, hence called mindfulness. With the nature of not forgetting, protecting and not distracting memory, it is called having mindfulness. After that, in order to show the benefits of diligence, wisdom and mindfulness, it is said to eliminate worldly desires and worries. The so-called worldly dharma is the definition of worldly dharmas, etc., gaining and fame, happiness and praise, these four worldly dharmas give rise to attachment. Not gaining and not hearing fame, suffering and scolding, etc., give rise to worries, so diligently practicing non-focusing, is to show that it is not contaminated by all worldly dharmas, so it is said to eliminate worldly desires and worries. Or, because of not focusing on people and dharmas, in order to show the elimination of attachment and anger towards sentient beings and actions, it is said to eliminate worldly desires and worries. Or, among all the obstacles, in order to show that the two most important desires and harmful thoughts have been eliminated, it also shows that all obstacles have been eliminated. Likewise, in the inner feelings, following and observing the feelings, that is, by the function of happiness, suffering and equanimity, the feelings turn into three kinds, among which the body's feelings and the mind's

Due to the power of feeling, it becomes sixfold, namely, with and without contamination, dependent on attachment and dependent on manifestation, etc. Regarding the feelings that are distinguished in this way, grasping the examination of feeling, observing whether the feeler is self or dharma, one abides without any object of focus. Similarly, for the mind, also distinguishing it as with and without desire, with and without hatred, with and without delusion, contracted and scattered, etc., relying on the mind that is distinguished in this way, one abides following observation in a way that does not focus on self or dharma. For dharmas, also relying on dharmas such as the aggregates, elements, sense bases, obscurations, limbs of enlightenment, noble truths, etc., for all the dharmas that are completely imputed, one meditates and abides entering into samadhi without any object of focus. This should be combined in this way. Thus, after explaining the four mindfulnesses in the way of the Bodhisattva Vehicle, wanting to explain it in the way of the Hearer Vehicle, the mindfulness of body itself is explained as sixfold. Among them, in the mindfulness of body, when abiding following the body, it is said, "When walking, one knows that one is walking," etc., it is explained through the six doors of the door of conduct, the door of mindfulness, the door of breathing in and out, the door of distinguishing the elements, the door of the thirty-two aspects, and the door of impurity. Among them, first, the door of conduct is explained, namely, walking, standing, sitting, and lying down. For these conducts, three ways are explained, namely, great, medium, and small. When walking a long road, at that time, the four conducts are called great, therefore, walking is explained first. When entering a town for alms, or going from one monastery to another seeking what is needed, at that time, the four conducts are called medium, therefore, it is explained that one also conducts oneself with mindfulness, following where one goes or comes. In order to eliminate the weariness of the body, performing actions such as excrement and urine, etc.

The four kinds of conduct that are practiced in going to a place, etc., are minor conduct. Because of that power, they are indicated by walking, standing, sitting, and lying down. The rest, whether looking around or looking closely, are all done with mindfulness, etc., and are minor conduct. In this regard, for all the things that are done, there are also five kinds of separate thoughts: 'This and this should be done,' 'This should be done, this should not be done,' 'This is the time, this is not the time,' 'This is how to do it, This is how not to do it,' 'It should be done for that purpose.' That is, 'If you practice, then practice,' 'You should know very well,' etc., is explained in this way. After that, in the explanation of minor conduct, walking means going far away. Coming means returning. Looking at things without thinking beforehand, without examining them, is looking around. Looking at things with prior thought, concentrating, is looking closely. Or, looking forward is looking around. Looking in other directions is looking closely. The shoulders, hands, feet, limbs, small limbs, etc., gathering those things together is contracting. Straightening is stretching. The great robe is the patched robe. Other than that, the clothing is the Dharma robe. The begging bowl is the alms bowl. Eating is rice, etc. Drinking is beverages, etc. Adjusting is carrying, etc. Tasting is milk, yogurt, and brown sugar, etc. Walking on the road, etc., or being troubled by the heat, etc., when oppressed by untimely sleep, looking around, splashing water, wiping the face, etc., is cleansing. The five sections of Maitreya are not disturbed by sleep. Speaking the correct words of teaching the Dharma, etc., is speaking. Thinking and measuring the meaning of the Dharma that has been heard and held, etc., is not speaking. Exerting oneself in vipassanā and śamatha is truly abiding within. The three doors of inhaling and exhaling with mindfulness
