That which is not touched, focusing on external form, is called observing the body externally. Apart from the six sources, focusing on the internal tangible form is called observing the body both internally and externally. The feelings, mind, and phenomena arising from focusing on these three forms should also be combined in three ways. Alternatively, focusing on the internal arising form that belongs to one's own body is called internal. Focusing on the external arising of others is called external. Taking the arising form as the cause, focusing on the arising sense faculties and the form of the object is called internal and external. The feelings, mind, and phenomena arising from focusing on these three should also be understood as three types. Alternatively, when observing the body internally with consciousness, it is called internal body, as well as observing feelings, mind, and phenomena. When observing the abandonment of unconsciousness, it is called external body, as well as observing feelings, mind, and phenomena. When the form of abandonment of unconsciousness, etc., is in the past, together with consciousness, that is, this conscious body, in the future, when observing its nature as being the same as unconsciousness, and the nature of phenomena that conforms to the nature of phenomena, it is called internal and external body, as well as observing feelings, mind, and phenomena. Observing the body internally means dwelling while observing the internal body as the body, not truly seeing it as having a person or having phenomena, and not dwelling on non-objectification, which is the meaning of "dwelling." In order to show not dwelling on non-objectification, it is said not to discriminate the discriminations associated with the body. Whatever discrimination is associated with the perception of the body, that is the body, or permanent, impermanent, suffering, happiness, beautiful, ugly, self,
