It is said, "The basis of earth does not exist and is invisible," and so on. Just as there is no samsara in nirvana, there is no basis of a bodhisattva in bodhi either, this is the conclusion. After that, in order to show that even a bodhisattva has no basis for bodhi, it is said, "There is no basis for the unconditioned realm in the conditioned realm," and so on. Just as there is no basis for samsara and nirvana, there is no basis for bodhi in a bodhisattva either, this is the conclusion. After that, in order to show that the meaning of the word bodhi does not exist, Subhuti, for example, there is no basis of meaning in that which has no birth, no cessation, no manifestation, no arising, no object, no complete defilement, and no complete purification, and so on. Just as there is no basis of meaning in that which has no birth, and so on, there is no basis of meaning in a bodhisattva either, this is the conclusion. After that, in order to show that in the imputed bodhisattva, the meaning of the word nature bodhisattva does not exist, Subhuti, for example, there is no basis of meaning in form that has no birth, no cessation, no manifestation, no arising, no object, no complete defilement, and no complete purification, and so on. Just as there is no meaning of the unconditioned words such as no birth in the meaning of the words aggregates and so on, in the imputed bodhisattva who is the nature of the five aggregates, there is no nature bodhisattva, this is the conclusion. After that, in order to show that in the ultimate bodhisattva, the meaning of the word imputed bodhisattva does not exist, Subhuti, for example, in form that is extremely pure, there is no basis for characteristics, and so on. Just as in the realm of phenomena of form and so on, the five aggregates and so on, which is extremely pure, there is no basis for the characteristics of the conditioned. Subhuti, for example, in self and so on that are pure, there is no basis for characteristics, and

Just as there is no basis for darkness in light, And there is no basis for formations in the eon of burning, similarly, in the Tathagata's discipline, concentration, wisdom, liberation, and the vision of the wisdom of liberation, there is no basis for opposing factors. Likewise, in the essence of the Dharma realm of the ultimate Bodhisattva, there is no Bodhisattva who is the essence of the five aggregates of conceptual imputation, this is the concluding statement. After that, the ultimate Bodhisattva is the essence of Dharma nature, because he does not abide anywhere. Subhuti, for example, the light of the sun and moon has no basis, and so on, thus showing that there is no basis. For example, the sun, moon, planets, stars, precious jewels, and the light of lightning, and all the gods who enjoy desires, and the Brahmas of the realm of form, and the pure abodes, and all the light of the Tathagatas, are only light, and there is no abiding. Similarly, the ultimate Bodhisattva also has no abiding, but wanders among beings, this is the concluding statement. Thus, in eleven ways, it is shown that the meaning of the word Bodhisattva has no basis. After that, as a reason for having no basis, Subhuti, for example, whatever is enlightenment, and the Bodhisattva, and whatever is the meaning of the basis of the Bodhisattva, all those dharmas are neither associated nor unassociated, and so on, it is said. The Bodhisattva who strives for enlightenment, by what enlightenment does he strive, or by what enlightenment does he obtain the name Bodhisattva, or what is enlightenment, or what is the meaning of the word Bodhisattva, or what are the form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, etc., of the conceptually imputed Bodhisattva, and what is the Dharma realm of the Bodhisattva of Dharma nature, this is the concluding statement. All those dharmas refer to enlightenment, which is unconditioned Dharma, and the Bodhisattva, which is the aggregates, realms, sources, dependent origination, etc.
