It is a statement saying, "There is no such dharma." Thus, when there is no difference between dharma and dharmata, when dharmata speaks of dharma, form itself is emptiness. When dharma speaks of dharmata, emptiness itself is form. Or, form itself is emptiness, emptiness itself is form, where emptiness refers to suchness, which is the form of dharmata. Thus, since those forms that are completely imputed and conceptually constructed are utterly non-existent, and also cannot abide in the perfectly established form, it is said not to abide in form. Similarly, it should be applied to feelings and so on as well. Do not abide in letters, which means do not abide in the meaning of letters such as A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal meaning: unborn). Do not abide in the manifestation of letters, which means that relying on the meaning of letters such as A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal meaning: unborn), the arising of the consciousness of form that follows the meaning of non-arising is called the manifestation of letters, and it is also shown not to abide in it. Because the consciousness of the dharani has not arisen from the very beginning, it is said that A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal meaning: unborn) is the door of all dharmas, which is manifested from such a statement. Some bodhisattvas with sharp faculties, relying on one meaning of non-arising and entering, will become the cause of manifest enlightenment. Those with intermediate faculties, relying on two letters, transform through becoming accustomed to two statements. Those with dull faculties, relying on many statements, become the cause of manifest enlightenment through habituation. Therefore, it is said not to abide in saying one, saying two, and saying many. In the explanation of the non-abiding of dharmata, form is impermanent, which means that form is empty by its very nature of impermanence. For the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, impermanence is the characteristic of arising and ceasing, which is the characteristic of complete imputation. The characteristic of impermanence for bodhisattvas

Therefore, it is said that the meaning of non-existence based on this is the meaning of impermanence. Like this, what always exists is called permanence. In contrast to that, what is said to be always non-existent and non-existent at all times is the impermanence of the Bodhisattvas. Therefore, the characteristic of non-existence is truly impermanence itself. The impermanence of form is that form is empty of its own nature of impermanence, which means that the ultimate impermanence of the Bodhisattvas is empty of the nature of impermanence, which is the characteristic of arising and ceasing, conceptualized by the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. Why is that? It is said that the emptiness of the impermanence of form is not the impermanence of form itself. Like this, the suchness of the ultimate impermanence of form is not the nature of the conceptualized impermanence of form. Therefore, the ultimate impermanence of form is synonymous with the emptiness of the conceptualized impermanence of form. If that is the case, would Dharma and Dharmata become different entities? (Answer:) It is said that there is no impermanence of form apart from emptiness, and there is no conceptualized impermanence of form apart from suchness, just like clear water and the sky. This is a synonym. Because there is no becoming different, it is said that emptiness is also the impermanence of form.

If one dwells on form, thinking, "This form is me," or "This is the nature of change," then that is the manifestation of form, that is, following the discrimination of form, practicing the Dharma of fabrication. It is not following the nature of emptiness, it is practicing the Prajnaparamita, that is its definition. In order to show the fault of practicing manifestation and fabrication, it is said that practicing manifestation and fabrication is not practicing Prajnaparamita, and so on. Why is it that, due to unskilled means, one falls into self-grasping and grasping at what belongs to oneself, and practices manifestation and fabrication? If so, one will not be able to attain practicing the Prajnaparamita, entering the yoga of non-grasping, and the definite liberation through completion, and so on. Thinking this, the Blessed One said, "Like this, form is completely ungraspable," and so on. This is called establishing non-grasping. This establishment is also shown in three ways: not grasping Dharma, not grasping signs, and not grasping consciousness. Among them, the explanation of not grasping Dharma is from "Form is completely ungraspable" to "Even all-knowingness, from inner emptiness, for the sake of the emptiness of the nature of non-things, is completely ungraspable." The explanation of not grasping signs is from "What is the reason for that? That is not called a sign" to "If one enters like that, one will not grasp form, one will not grasp feeling, until one will not grasp the true limit." The explanation of not grasping consciousness is from "What is the reason for that? Like this, he does not perceive grasping at all Dharmas that are empty of their own nature" to "Blessed One, because all Dharmas are completely ungraspable, this is the Prajnaparamita of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva." Among them, the first is not grasping Dharma.
