From the perfection of giving, one trains on the path to enlightenment. The phrase "without coming or going" refers to training on the path of omniscience. If one thinks there is a path, there should be coming and going, so considering that these do not exist, it is said, "because they themselves do not exist." In the Hearer Vehicle, all phenomena, when arising, have nothing coming from anywhere; when ceasing, nothing goes anywhere. In the Great Vehicle, because there is no arising or ceasing, the Great Vehicle is liberated from coming and going. The phrase "without grasping" means that clinging to phenomena as phenomena is grasping. The statement "giving is established because there is grasping" refers to grasping miserliness. If one asks, from what perspective is it said that giving is established from closely grasping, etc.? It is because in the world, there are names for both miserliness and giving, and if there is immoral conduct, etc., there will be names for immoral conduct, etc. Therefore, it is to show that because a Bodhisattva has no thoughts of unfavorable qualities such as miserliness, they also have no thoughts of giving, etc. The phrase "without the conceit of surpassing" means without the conceit of surpassing. The phrase "without the conceit of not surpassing" means not thinking of oneself as surpassing or not surpassing miserliness, etc., because these themselves do not exist at all. By "without the conceit of giving and miserliness," etc., this is what is being shown, in short, not thinking of either unfavorable or favorable qualities. By "I am reviled" or "I am honored," etc., it is to show that there is no conceit of the eight worldly dharmas. Shariputra, the phrase "without birth" is synonymous with the ultimate reality. The phrase "equality towards all sentient beings" refers to the immeasurable equanimity of emptiness of person. The phrase "equality of all dharmas" refers to the Middle Way of emptiness of phenomena.

The equanimity of earth, this is called equanimity without subsequent attachment and anger. After that, there is the prophecy that the retinue will be fully matured, and the praise of the Prajñāpāramitā, and the praise of the Bodhisattvas who have entered into it, and the emission of light, and the gathering of Bodhisattvas, The arrangement of offerings, and the retinue attaining the eighth ground, and the aspiration, and the prophecy. All of these are as they appear in the scriptures, and the meaning is clear. Thus, the essence is explained by the first sentence. Shariputra, for this Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, wishing to manifestly and completely awaken to all dharmas in every way, one should strive in the Prajñāpāramitā. Regarding this, why one should strive, and how one should strive, and what the nature of striving is, and who the striver is, these are extensively explained by the Bhagavan and the Venerable Shariputra. Now, from the four aspects of what the exhortation to striving is, and what the benefits of striving are, etc., the Venerable Subhuti explained the exhortation to striving. The Bhagavan also skillfully explained it, starting from the discipline of fully maturing it in this way. Therefore, Shariputra said that this is how the Tathagata skillfully taught the Prajñāpāramitā to the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, which will be explained below. When does the venerable Subhuti generate the power of his own wisdom and eloquence? If the Shravakas know the realm of the Shravakas, why would the Shravakas have this doubt? There is no fault in this, because the Venerable Subhuti is a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, who has accumulated the accumulation of merit and wisdom from countless kalpas, and is known to have obtained forbearance in the profound Dharma. Therefore, everything has become a doubt in this way. Therefore, in order to eliminate the fault that saying that this is one's own word would lead to non-acceptance, it is said that this is the teaching of the Bhagavan, not mine.

The word 'of' is not, thus it is excluded. It is okay to say, it is okay to prophesy, it is okay to speak, which refers to the three types of Vinaya, divided into Sutra, Middle, and Extensive, or because of one's own superior intention and, the occasion of others' superior intention and, the appropriate time and, the three reasons are shown as three types. Now, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas should strive for Prajnaparamita, in order to show what is shown in the first sentence of this, grasping it, the Bhagavan said to Subhuti: Subhuti, you should exhort the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas to practice Prajnaparamita, be sure to make the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas definitely generate confidence in Prajnaparamita, like this generate courage, thus opening the topic. The Venerable Subhuti exhorts diligence with names and terms, exhorts diligence by not focusing on sentient beings, exhorts diligence by not focusing on conventional terms, exhorts diligence by not focusing on all dharmas, in order to distinguish the occasions of the four exhortations. Bhagavan, what dharma's conventional term is called Bodhisattva Mahasattva? Thus asked and so on. Among them, in the brief exposition it is said, Bodhisattva Mahasattva, and it is also said, the so-called Bodhisattva, there is no dharma, and it is also said, this is Prajnaparamita, and it is also said, the so-called Prajnaparamita, there is no dharma either. Then, since these two dharmas are without focus, then who should be exhorted and who should be taught? After asking this, the Bhagavan said to Subhuti: Subhuti, do not speak like that. If it is like that, you will think that there is neither Bodhisattva nor Prajnaparamita, and then say nothing, if it is like that, the benefit of sentient beings will be harmed. Although in the ultimate sense, these two dharmas have become the nature of non-duality, in order to fully mature sentient beings and other benefits, skillfully grasp the characteristics of the completely imputed, on the conventional level, proclaim Prajna to sentient beings
