Therefore, it is said that mindfulness is also without an object because of the emptiness. The practice of the aspects of enlightenment will be explained in detail below when the Great Vehicle is taught. Similarly, the right abandonments should also be applied to this. The characteristics of the right abandonments and so on are merely conventional truths, but in the ultimate sense, the characteristics of the right abandonments and so on are of the nature of non-existence. Therefore, understanding that the right abandonments and so on are of the nature of non-objectivity, abiding in the perfection of wisdom, one will perfect the aspects of enlightenment, so it is said. Regarding the practice of the samadhi of emptiness, since the three doors of liberation are the means of attaining nirvana, they are in accordance with the practice of the aspects of enlightenment, and therefore they are counted among the aspects of enlightenment themselves. This belongs to the category of bodhisattvas, and therefore it is called the three samadhis. Among them, the so-called samadhi of emptiness means that the perfectly established characteristic is empty of the imputed characteristic, and the imputed aspect is empty of the imputed. When one meditates on the aspect of emptiness in this way, and the mind becomes one-pointed, it is called the samadhi of emptiness. The inexpressible ultimate truth, like the sky, is devoid of all characteristics such as form, the characteristic of no characteristics, and all elaborations are pacified. Therefore, when one meditates on the aspect of peace, and the mind becomes one-pointed, it is called the signless samadhi. Similarly, seeing that the three realms are without inherent existence, establishing the perception of non-conformity with all phenomena, not desiring future existence, and truly seeing accordingly, when the mind becomes one-pointed, it is called the wishless samadhi. After that, the practice of maturing sentient beings is shown by the phrase "the four dhyanas" and so on. The practice of maturing sentient beings is divided into mundane and supramundane, namely the category of dhyana and samadhi, the category of clairvoyance, and the category of wisdom.

Since all dharmas need to be done in this way, all three aspects of dharma are gathered there. Regarding this, all dharmas such as meditation are first held in a conventional way for the benefit of sentient beings. Later, they are fully sought in the ultimate sense, and without manifestly clinging to the nature of meditation and so on, but with compassion and skillful means, again focusing on the conventional itself, the conduct of fully maturing sentient beings is established for the benefit of sentient beings. Among them, what is called renunciation mindfulness is the renunciation that arises from seeing faults by focusing on places that cause aversion, such as birth, aging, sickness, death, sorrow, lamentation, suffering, displeasure, disturbance, impermanence, emptiness, and selflessness, and the action is called renunciation mindfulness. The renunciation mindfulness of a Bodhisattva is that all dharmas are of the nature of selflessness and insubstantiality, but children generate thoughts of having substance and engage in them. Seeing this situation, the mindfulness that quickly sends them to understand is called renunciation mindfulness. Previously, due to the power of mindfulness, death mindfulness was taught. Later, through the gate of higher vision, seeing the nature of having the dharma of death is called the perception of death. The joy of not trusting worldly knowledge, all crafts, and sixty-four kinds of various arts, etc., is the perception of not rejoicing in all the world. Because the cause of being able to be attached to the three realms has not been truly seen, there is no desire for it, which is the perception of not trusting all the world. What is called the cultivation of knowing suffering is to know all dharmas such as aggregates as the nature of suffering in a conventional way, and then to know that they are completely without substance in the ultimate sense, but in order to fully mature sentient beings, to know them as the aspect of suffering in the conventional sense, and also to make other sentient beings know in the same way, this knowing is knowing suffering.

Similarly, it should be applied to everything. Knowing the arising of aggregates, elements, sense bases, etc., and knowing the knowledge that knows that, and knowing universally, is knowing all arising. Knowing the afflictions of oneself and others, the near afflictions, all suffering, and knowing the complete cessation of existence, and knowing the cause of complete cessation, is the bodhisattvas' knowing cessation. Knowing all births in the cycle of existence of oneself and others, and knowing the cause of non-birth, is the bodhisattvas' knowing non-birth. Knowing all phenomena manifestly in conventional truth, and knowing suchness in ultimate truth, is knowing the Dharma. Knowing all phenomena in conventional truth through inference, and knowing that even if impermanence etc. are not manifest, they will arise as such, and bodhisattvas knowing all phenomena in accordance with emptiness, is the knowledge of subsequent realization. All noble ones know sentient beings and vases etc., and bodhisattvas, with observation as the object, know all imputed phenomena such as form, is conventional knowledge. The so-called knowledge of familiarity is the knowledge with which bodhisattvas cultivate the doors of liberation, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, and the aspects of enlightenment, but do not manifest nirvana, but only cultivate familiarity and extremely pure knowledge, is called the knowledge of familiarity. If they were to manifest nirvana, they would become stream-enterers etc., therefore, to avoid this fault, they do not touch the true limit, but only cultivate the Dharma with this knowledge. If one cultivates the dharmas that lead to the attainment of nirvana, why would one not manifestly realize the true limit? Answer: Because they do not possess the thought of aversion, as previously stated. Furthermore, the prerequisite for manifestly realizing the true limit is the cultivation of calm abiding and insight, but bodhisattvas are like that.
