"Desiring to attain enlightenment" means that there are two types of complete enlightenment: the wisdom of knowing all things and the wisdom of knowing all aspects. Among them, the phenomena of the completely imputed nature, which belong to the three realms and the three times, are completely enlightened by the wisdom of knowing all aspects of the conventional truth of the world. The phenomena of the thoroughly established nature, which are beyond the world, without birth, without cessation, primordially peaceful, naturally completely liberated from suffering, without substantial essence, emptiness, and so on, are completely enlightened by the wisdom of knowing all aspects. Therefore, it is said, "Desiring to attain complete enlightenment in all aspects." "In the Prajnaparamita" means that, in terms of ultimate truth, in order to transcend aspiration, diligence, afflictions, karma, suffering, cyclic existence, conceptualization, qualities, objects of knowledge, and these nine aspects, what is gathered by the transcendental, non-conceptual, vajra-like wisdom samadhi is called Prajnaparamita. Afterwards, the subsequent wisdoms, such as the conceptual and non-conceptual mirror-like wisdom, equality, individual discriminating wisdom, and accomplishing wisdom, are also called Prajnaparamita because they arise from its cause, and thus the effect is labeled with the cause. The wisdom of the Arhat path, which is gathered by the ultimate attainment of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, is also a similar cause of Prajnaparamita, and therefore the name Prajnaparamita can be obtained. Bodhisattvas, from the stage of faith and conduct up to the tenth stage, the cloud of Dharma, increase through the stages of hearing, thinking, and meditating, and are grasped by the means of purifying the stainless realm of Dharma, directly

Therefore, since the wisdom abiding in the pure grounds of ground and ground becomes greater and greater, the wisdom that enables one to obtain the distinction of superior discernment, those also become known as Prajñāpāramitā. Because it is the cause of realizing all the differences in the meaning of words residing in the samādhi of accomplishing, realizing, and perfecting the ground. Whatever teachings that become collections of names, collections of words, and collections of letters, those are also said to be named Prajñāpāramitā. Thus, as much as those aspects manifest, all those aspects of the Mahāyāna path are also called Prajñāpāramitā. Thus, among those that are said to be Prajñāpāramitā, this is the wisdom included in the Buddha-ground, the non-conceptual wisdom that transcends the world, which is called Prajñāpāramitā. Then, the statement "One should strive in this Prajñāpāramitā" is a synonym for striving in the Prajñāpāramitā that is free from all conceptualizations and is extremely pure. Some say that here, Prajñāpāramitā refers to the Mahāyāna, therefore, abandoning the Śrāvakayāna and the Pratyekabuddhayāna, it is a synonym for striving in the Mahāyāna. Some say that when Prajñāpāramitā refers to omniscience, then it should be understood as "in," and the statement "in the meaning of Prajñāpāramitā" is a synonym for striving in the meaning of omniscience. When non-conceptual wisdom or the Mahāyāna is called Prajñāpāramitā, then it should be understood as saying "to," so they say. The statement "One should strive in Prajñāpāramitā" has three kinds of striving: striving in learning, striving in practice, and striving in true accomplishment. Among these, the time of listening and thinking, etc., is striving in learning.

That is to say, one should strive in the Perfection of Wisdom, which will be explained below. At the time of practice, one should strive in conduct, that is, one should conduct oneself in the Perfection of Wisdom, which will be explained below. At the time of complete realization, one should strive for true accomplishment, that is, one should strive, which will be explained below. "Should" means what is appropriate to do, a synonym for what should be done. These explain the three ways of who does it, to what it is done, and what is done. Because there is no certainty for the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, only Bodhisattvas do it. Because this is the root of all that is to be practiced, it is done only to the Perfection of Wisdom. One should strive through continuousness, respect, and effort, etc. Here there is a perfect result, a perfect cause, and a perfect application. The so-called "manifestly and completely awakening to all dharmas in all aspects" is the result. "Perfection of Wisdom" is the cause. "Should strive" is the application. As stated in the Three Hundred Verses, abiding, practicing, and well grasping the mind, similarly, here it is also said, "wanting to manifestly and completely awaken to all dharmas in all aspects," this is showing the abiding by showing the perfect intention. By "should strive" is shown the practice. By "in the Perfection of Wisdom" it is said that in order to do to the non-discriminating Perfection of Wisdom, therefore the well grasping of the mind is shown. Thus, through the initial statement, for the benefit of those who understand, the brief explanation of the Perfection of Wisdom has been completely accomplished, and the Bhagavan remained silent. Afterwards, in order to distinguish the occasion when the venerable Shariputra makes a medium explanation for the benefit of those who understand, the Bhagavan said: How should a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who wishes to manifestly and completely awaken to all dharmas in all aspects strive in the Perfection of Wisdom? This is the beginning of the question.
