That is the concluding remark that one does not develop craving for Dharma. Because of thoroughly understanding suffering, the meaning of not generating a mind focused on suffering is that, in the manner previously explained, with knowledge that is completely familiar, it is merely complete familiarity. Because of fearing falling into the Hearer's ground, it is manifested by the sixteen consciousnesses, but it is not done manifestly, that is the concluding remark. The meaning of 'no thing is enlightenment' is that, things are conditioned and unconditioned, and discriminated and undiscriminated dharmas. Because it is separated from its own nature, it is inexpressible. The truly existent enlightenment is called no thing. Then, again, by 'individual ordinary beings who do not possess hearing' and so forth, it shows that all the dharmas of the three realms are merely completely imputed. The meaning of 'whatever is no thing, that is no thing itself' is that, because it is completely imputed, it is merely the nature of no thing, that is the concluding remark. The path is without things. The fruit of stream-enterer is without things, and so forth. Because it is the nature of no thing, it shows that there is nothing called hearing. World-Honored One, whether things have arisen or have not arisen, is it not suchness, or is it not undeluded suchness? This is asking whether the nature of suchness, or the nature of undeluded suchness, is past, future, or present, is it conditioned, is there anything ultimately? The six similes such as dreams are easy to understand. Subhuti, what do you think? Are those dharmas not like illusions or dreams? And so forth, generosity paramita and so forth, and the Brahma's sound, all those ultimate dharmas are also like illusions. Therefore, because everything is like an illusion, there is no fault, that is what is to be expressed. Subhuti, in this way, all those dharmas are manifest fabrications, and what is called 'thinking' is because generosity paramita and so forth are the nature of virtue, so it is manifest fabrication. Because the mind precedes action, it is thinking, that is
