That which is called "the immutable perfection" shows perfection by means of immutable perfection. That which is called "without discrimination" shows perfection by means of undeviating perfection. That which is called "unobstructed by anything" is pervasive of all dharmas, and does not exist anywhere. Therefore, it is said, "There is nothing that is not its suchness," which is to say that the suchness of all dharmas is also such. That which is called "never not suchness" means that it is suchness at all times. "Non-duality" means that the essence is one. "Indivisible" means that it cannot be divided into two forms. Just as the suchness (Sanskrit: tathātā) of the Tathagata (Sanskrit: Tathāgata) is not different, without distinction, and non-dual, so too, the suchness of all dharmas is not different, without distinction, and without an object of focus. Similarly, the suchness of the venerable Subhūti (Sanskrit: Subhūti) is also not different, without distinction, and without an object of focus, which means that, like the suchness of the Tathagata, the suchness of all dharmas is also not different in essence, being without an object of focus. Just as the suchness of all dharmas is, so too, the suchness of the venerable Subhūti is not different in essence, being without an object of focus, which is to show that: just as the suchness of the Tathagata is not different because it is non-dual, without distinction because it is indivisible, and without an object of focus because its essence is without an object of focus, and is one; just as the suchness of all dharmas is also an essence that is not different, without distinction, and without an object of focus, so too, the suchness of Subhūti is not different in essence, being without an object of focus, and is without distinction, which is a concluding statement. The suchness of the Tathagata is not something that exists separately from the suchness of all dharmas; that suchness which does not exist separately from the suchness of all dharmas is never not suchness, and it is always suchness. The suchness of the venerable Subhūti is also like that, therefore, because it is not another form, even though it arises after the Tathagata, it is still in any

The saying "there is no subsequent arising" means that the suchness of the Tathagata and the suchness of all dharmas are not different in nature due to their unapprehendable nature. Like the suchness of all dharmas, the suchness of the venerable Subhuti is also not different in nature due to its unapprehendable nature, thus it is taught. Whatever is the suchness of the Tathagata is not different from the suchness of all dharmas, and whatever is not different from the suchness of all dharmas is also never not suchness, because the suchness of all dharmas exists at all times. Because the suchness of the Tathagata is not different from it, it exists at all times. Similarly, the suchness of the venerable Subhuti also exists at all times because it is not different from the suchness of all dharmas. Therefore, because it exists at all times, it is called the subsequent arising of the suchness of the Tathagata. Because there is no characteristic of arising, it is also called no subsequent arising anywhere. As it is said, the suchness of the Tathagata is not past, not future, not present, etc., this teaches that just as the Tathagata belongs to the three times by the nature of imputation, but suchness is not included by time, so also all dharmas belong to the three times in the nature of imputation, but their suchness is not included by time. Similarly, the suchness of the venerable Subhuti is also not included by time. Therefore, it is called the subsequent arising of the Tathagata. Sons of the gods, here, one should understand the suchness of the Tathagata as equality by the equality of the past suchness, etc., thus it is taught. Thus, the past suchness of all past dharmas is equal because of its single nature, therefore all Tathagatas are also equal. They are also equal because their nature is one with that suchness. Because the suchness of all Tathagatas is equal, for that very reason, the past dharmas
