That is the teaching. Then, the Bodhisattva Maitreya asked the Venerable Subhuti: How does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who has newly entered the Great Vehicle, with "newly entered the Great Vehicle," etc., rejoice in the newly entered Great Vehicle, and what is the nature of the two dedications? Maitreya also said: Subhuti, if a Bodhisattva who has newly entered the Great Vehicle, etc., Subhuti, should also act in the manner of non-objectification by the power of learning, that is the teaching. Hearing these demonic deeds, they will not decrease or increase, because they do not discriminate in them. The lineage of the Bodhisattva will be taken, that is, to pay attention to suchness. After that, the names of rejoicing are generally shown, and after that, Maitreya, in addition, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who has newly entered the Great Vehicle, with "cutting off the continuity of the path of the Tathagata Bhagavan, cutting off the continuity in the manner of play and existence," etc., reveals the occasion of the true meaning. After that, the Bodhisattva Maitreya asked: How is it not reversed in this? After that, the Venerable Subhuti showed nine kinds of explanations of immaculate dedication, in which there are no six kinds of thoughts, so it is not reversed, otherwise it is reversed, this is the first explanation. The mind of thinking of the Buddhas, etc., and the mind of dedicating are also exhausted, and there is no Bodhi, and the dharmas are also empty of self-nature, and there is no dedication, so there is no dedication in the true meaning, if you think like this, it is a compliant dedication, this is the second explanation. After that, it is also for the Shravakas who appeared in the past, future and present, as well as the Bodhisattvas, as well as the Buddhas, and all the merits of all ordinary beings, after rejoicing, when dedicating, paying attention to their exhaustion, paying attention to no dedication, paying attention to self-nature emptiness, it is the supreme dedication, and

Kya-ba is the third. Then again, the merit of dedication is manifestly accumulated, that is: knowing that all dharmas are devoid of self-nature and that all dharmas are also devoid of essence, from the supreme to the unequal, and dedicating between the equal, it is called "dedicating by dedication," which is the fourth. Then again, as before, from rejoicing in all roots of virtue to dedicating to enlightenment, (that is): the Buddhas and the Shravakas, and the Pratyekabuddhas, and the Bodhisattvas, and the roots of virtue, and the dedication, and the mind of enlightenment and dedication, knowing that these essences are equal and dedicating, it is called "dedicating by dedication," which is the fifth. After that, taking the roots of virtue as signs, dedicating, and also for the past Buddhas, taking the past mind as a sign and considering it as an object, it will be reversed. If those roots of virtue, and those who manifestly accumulate, and those who generate the mind are not known and not considered as a measure, then that is also a correct dedication, called the sixth. Then, Bodhisattva Maitreya wondered how it is possible that not taking signs and dedication are not contradictory, and asked, and then, the Venerable Subhuti explained that it is the (behavior) of the Bodhisattvas who are skilled in means. Then, Bodhisattva Maitreya taught as follows: For the Bodhisattva who wants to dedicate correctly, one should examine in this way: those Buddhas and those roots of virtue, and those things that are manifestly accumulated, and those minds are also not existent, but I will regard all of those as signs and think separately. Dedicating by taking signs and thinking separately like that is not permitted by the Tathagata, it is like delicious food is the same as poison. Therefore, one should not dedicate like that, and one should not learn (to dedicate) like that. Therefore, taking the Buddha himself as a measure, and the Buddhas, the Bhagavan how do they know all those things, I also dedicate in the same way, dedicating in this way is the dedication of non-toxic…

The seventh. Then, dedicating all dharmas without clinging to the three realms and three times is non-toxic. Dedicating in any other way is toxic, this is the eighth. Then, again, by the nature of the Dharma, the sphere of activity of the Buddha's wisdom, I shall completely dedicate, this is the ninth. Then, the Bhagavan greatly rejoiced at his words in many ways, and showed the increase of merit in three ways: all sentient beings of the three thousand great thousand world realms, through practicing the ten virtuous paths of action, meditation, the immeasurable ones, the formless absorptions, and the merit of obtaining clairvoyance, etc., this dedication without attachment is the most excellent merit, this is the first. For those sentient beings, from those who have entered the stream, etc., up to the Arhat and the Pratyekabuddha, having been revered with the four requisites for as long as they live, the merit is superior, this is the second. For those sentient beings, all having become Bodhisattvas, all sentient beings of the ten directions, to each of them, with the four requisites and all the means of happiness, having revered them for as many kalpas as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River, such a mass of merit is even greater than that, this is the third. Bhagavan, if the object of performing merit had form, then even as many world realms as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River would not be able to contain it, this is the concluding statement that it would not be fully contained there. After that, the previous merits are inferior because they have the perception of signs and the perception of objects, but the accumulation of merit from dedication does not have these, therefore it is superior, and after that, the two explanations of the offerings and praises made by all the lords of the gods who act in desire, the gods, and all the Brahmās, and after that, all the sentient beings of the three thousand great thousand world realms having become Bodhisattvas
