From "not abiding" onwards, up to "establishing immeasurable, countless, inconceivable beings in unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment," by way of focusing on not abiding, up to "not abiding," it shows the nature of the Dharma that accords with the aspect of understanding the path itself. From "one should cultivate the five eyes" onwards, up to "one should cultivate the eighty minor marks of excellence on the body," up to "not abiding," it shows the nature of the Dharma of the aspect of all-knowingness itself. In the explanation showing the individual, it should also be divided into three aspects by the power of the aspect of all-knowingness, etc. Abiding in the four legs of miraculous power, entering into whichever samadhi, etc., are also the Dharma of the direction of the ground of all-knowingness itself. How then should a Bodhisattva Mahasattva abide in the Perfection of Wisdom? From what did the Venerable Subhuti conceive this thought? Having said, "Do not abide in any Dharma," and also saying, "One cannot abide in emptiness, nor should one abide," how can that be reasonable? He thought in this way. Then, the Venerable Subhuti, by establishing non-abiding, showed that it is abiding in the Perfection of Wisdom. The Tathagata's mind does not abide in anything, which shows that he abides in the Nirvana of non-abiding. Thus, by explaining the establishment of abiding in non-abiding, starting from taming, by explaining the inexpressible, those who are being tamed became doubtful. Therefore, focusing on them, another occasion is explained. Is it not possible to understand what the sons of the gods said? Etc., why do you not understand what is said? Thus, he asked the sons of the gods. Therefore, they said: The Noble Subhuti is unknowable. Then it was said that because the Perfection of Wisdom is inexpressible, the Venerable One did not utter a single word. Thus, what appears to be spoken there, and what appears to be heard, are all conceptual constructs, like illusion, dreams, echoes, etc.

By showing it as an illusion, those gods were delighted. What is called the emanation of the Buddha is the emanation of the Tathagata. Gods, form is not profound, not subtle, because the imputed form is not truly existent, therefore it is not profound, not subtle. Also, gods, like this, the nature of form is not profound, not subtle, etc., because the form of Dharma-nature is essentially unshakeable, therefore it is not profound, not subtle, thus it was shown. Therefore, here are two kinds of explanations: the explanation of Dharma and the explanation of self-nature. Then, for this teaching of Dharma, is there no examination of form? etc., If all dharmas are inexpressible, then have you not examined or spoken about form, etc.? The gods asked. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the gods, yes, yes, it is so, he showed that there is no examination and no speaking. This patience is not to be relied upon, this is for this inexpressible speaking. The venerable Subhuti, how does he think one should listen to the Dharma? If it is inexpressible from the ultimate truth, because there is no speaker and no listener, then listening to the Dharma is also impossible, thus it is shown. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the gods, I think listening to the Dharma is like an illusion, etc., thus he showed that there is no speaker and no listener in the ultimate truth. Venerable Subhuti, this profound, this difficult to see Prajnaparamita, because it is difficult to measure its depth, therefore it is profound. Because it is not the object of the five aggregates of consciousness, it is difficult to see. Because it is not the object of the consciousness of mind, it is difficult to realize. Because all afflictions and near afflictions have been pacified, therefore it is peaceful. Because all intervals of suffering have been pacified, therefore it is rich. Because all elaborations of discrimination have been pacified, therefore it is subtle. Because it is to be known individually by oneself, therefore it is not other. Because it transcends the path of thought, therefore it is not the realm of investigation. In order to realize all dharmas as they truly are.
