Within. Subhuti, from the point of teaching the Great Vehicle in accordance with the Perfection of Wisdom, those twelve statements that have been established should now be explained. Having explained them, they should also be elucidated. Shariputra, endowed with life, because there are no sentient beings, Bodhisattvas are not perceived at the prior limit, the posterior limit, or the middle limit, because there is no self in the individual. Bodhisattvas have arisen in the past. Bodhisattvas will arise in the future. Bodhisattvas exist when they arise in the present. This teaches that there is no approaching in the three times. After that, "because there is no form," and so on, teaches that there is no self in phenomena. All of these are non-dual, and cannot be made into two. This means that everything is one in the nature of being completely established. Shariputra, endowed with life, because there is no suchness, Bodhisattvas are not perceived at the prior limit, and so on, because the suchness of the three times and the suchness of Bodhisattvas are all completely imputed, and therefore do not exist. Shariputra, endowed with life, why should Bodhisattvas be known as completely infinite because form is completely infinite, and so on? This teaches the second statement, because those completely infinite prior limits, and so on, do not exist. From the third statement, Shariputra, endowed with life, form is empty of form, which is a synonym for saying that the form of the nature of complete establishment is empty of the form of complete imputation. Therefore, it is said that there is no form in emptiness, which is a synonym for saying that there is no completely imputed form in the emptiness of form. In the fourth statement, form does not perceive form, form does not perceive feeling, and so on, which shows that if one seeks in one's own objects and in the objects of others, all phenomena are imperceptible. This explains all of everything, all of every kind. In the fifth statement, "Thus, a Bodhisattva," this is suddenly given a name, a Bodhisattva is

If the ultimate is the nature of emptiness, then in order to name it in the conventional, the name "Bodhisattva" is temporarily assigned. The meaning of temporarily assigned is that it is not inherently existent. Just like the names of all phenomena, it does not come from anywhere in the ten directions, nor does it go anywhere, which shows that it is non-existent. At the time of true arising, it does not come from anywhere; at the time of cessation, it does not go anywhere. Not only is the name of Bodhisattva like this, but the names of all phenomena are also shown to be non-existent because they have no coming and going. Similarly, it concludes with the name of Bodhisattva not coming from anywhere and not going anywhere, that the names of all phenomena, Bodhisattva, and the name of Bodhisattva are also non-existent. After showing that names are non-existent in this way, just like the names of form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness are merely nominal designations, it shows that all imputed phenomena are merely names. After that, just like whatever is called the name of form, it is not form, etc., it shows that the nature of phenomena such as form and names are not different entities, whatever is the imputed name of form, that is the ultimate form. After showing that, after that, just like the name is empty of the nature of name, whatever is empty is not a name, it shows that the reason for the difference between name and emptiness is that whatever is the imputed name is empty of the nature of name, and its emptiness is not the nature of name. Like this, names are non-existent, because ultimate phenomena are existent, so these phenomena are the nature of names. Therefore, the ultimate Bodhisattva is also not the nature of name. Therefore, in order to show that the Bodhisattva is temporarily assigned, so just like this Bodhisattva

It is said that it is merely a name. Similarly, the elements, sources, and dependent origination should also be compared in the same way. For the perfections and so on, it is different. It is said that there is no name for the perfection of generosity, and there is no perfection of generosity in the name, because the perfection of generosity and so on are also completely imputed, and the name is also completely imputed. Therefore, the name does not exist in the perfection of generosity, and the perfection of generosity does not exist in the name, because both are similar to illusions and have no substance. Therefore, like this, whether it is a name or the perfection of generosity, both do not exist and are invisible, so it is said. Similarly, it should be applied to everything. In the sixth sentence, the venerable Shariputra, like this, because I am completely non-existent, I am invisible, so how can it be manifested? And so on, because I and forms and other dharmas are completely non-existent, if they do not exist, how can they be manifested and arise? Therefore, all dharmas are shown to be the nature of complete non-existence. Manifest non-existence refers to emptiness. In the seventh sentence, there is no self-nature from arising, self-nature refers to one's own essence, what one is is self-nature, not others. All dharmas such as forms arise dependently, not independently. Those that arise dependently from others are others, not one's own. Therefore, all dharmas are the nature of non-substantiality, so they are called non-self-nature. Therefore, the emptiness in which forms and other completely imputed things can become functional is not dependent origination, nor is it dependent on others, therefore, it itself is the self-nature of all dharmas. Therefore, it is said that there is no self-nature arising from aggregation, what arises from aggregation is not self-nature, this is a synonym. Because it arises after aggregation, it is said to arise from aggregation.
