Like the song of the oriole, like the sound of the kalaviṅka bird's call, like the voice of Brahma proclaiming, like the sound resounding as the shangshang bird, as pleasant as the voice of the lord of the gods, like the sound of a drum, not arrogant, not low, following after all sounds, with no errors in the words, nothing incomplete, not discouraged, not timid, exceedingly joyful, pervasive, comprehending, continuous, connected, perfecting all sounds, satisfying all faculties, not contemptuous, unchanging, not hasty, renowned throughout all retinues, possessing all supreme aspects, just as it is said. Among these, the antidote is because it clearly shows all realms and roots of virtue. Gentle because it enables one to experience happiness in this very life. Pleasing because the meaning is good. Agreeable because the words are beautiful. Pure because it follows after the unsurpassed state that transcends the world. Immaculate because it is free from the latent tendencies of afflictions and all habitual patterns. Clear because the words and letters are distinct. Pleasant and delightful because it possesses the qualities of destroying the perverse intellect and views of all non-Buddhists. Worthy of being heard because practice leads to definite liberation. Unobstructed because all the arguments of opponents cannot interrupt it. Pleasant because it brings joy. Tamed because it becomes the antidote to desire. Not harsh because establishing discipline is easy. Not rude because it truly shows the reality that transcends these. Extremely tamed because it shows taming through the three vehicles. Pleasing to the ear because it becomes the antidote to distraction. Making the body relaxed because it enables one to attain samādhi. Satisfying the mind because it enables one to attain supreme joy through vipassanā. Making the heart joyful because it enables one to cut off doubt.
