Any suchness, in terms of ultimate truth, is also without substance. Venerable Subhuti, in terms of ultimate truth, is also without substance. Therefore, it is shown that they also do not arise following anything. It does not arise following conditioned phenomena, it does not arise following anything other than conditioned phenomena, from "it does not arise following anything other than the suchness of conditioned phenomena" to "it does not arise following anything other than the suchness of unconditioned phenomena." Briefly speaking, for the sake of sentient beings who can understand the meaning, all the phenomena mentioned above are briefly summarized into two: conditioned and unconditioned phenomena. Because they are also without substance in ultimate truth, they also do not arise following anything, that is its meaning. Why is that? It is because, from "whatever arises following" to "all those phenomena that will arise following are non-existent and invisible," the reason why Venerable Subhuti does not arise following all phenomena is that, in all three times of past, future, and present, there is neither a producer nor a produced phenomenon, and it is invisible. "Whatever arises following, and what arises following it" shows that in the past time, the produced phenomenon and the producer are non-existent and invisible. "Whatever arises following, and what arises following it" shows that in the present time, the produced phenomenon and the producer are non-existent and invisible. "Whatever will arise following, and what will arise following it" shows that in the future time, the produced phenomenon and the producer are also non-existent and invisible. Then, from "The venerable Sharadvatiputra said this to the Blessed One" to "The true limit is profound," in this way, because the profound dharma of non-arising was shown above, Shariputra was delighted, and it was shown that such a profound dharma of emptiness is not the object of practice for speculators. Suchness, and unerring suchness, etc., should be understood as synonyms for emptiness. To that,

From "Form is not observed, the suchness of form is not observed" to "How could the suchness of all-knowingness become a visible object?", it shows the profound reason for the emptiness of the nature of the Dharma realm, that is, in emptiness, from form, etc., up to all-knowingness, all imputed dharmas, and the suchness of these dharmas, the perfectly established nature also has no visible object, so it is a profound meaning. The Blessed One taught: Sharadvatiputra, it is so, it is so, suchness is profound, in which form is not visible, the suchness of form is not visible, from "How could the suchness of all-knowingness become a visible object?", it is Shariputra's question, and that meaning is explained again, the nature of emptiness, the nature of suchness, is so profound, it is indeed so taught. When Sharadvatiputra proclaimed this chapter of suchness, unerring suchness, non-different suchness, two hundred monks, without taking, from the outflows, the mind was completely liberated, when this profound chapter was proclaimed, two hundred monks, by the path of cultivation, abandoned the afflictions to be abandoned, in samsara, without taking the aggregates again, the mind was completely liberated, becoming the meaning of Arhat. Five hundred nuns, for the dharmas, the Dharma eye without dust and free from defilement arose, refers to abandoning the afflictions to be abandoned by the path of seeing, and obtaining the eye of wisdom by the path of seeing, abiding in the fruit of stream-enterer. Five thousand Bodhisattvas and gods and humans, etc., obtained the extreme endurance of the unborn Dharma, refers to among the five thousand Bodhisattvas and gods and humans, etc., some realized that all dharmas are unborn, showing the meaning of obtaining the eighth Bodhisattva ground. Sixty regressed Bodhisattvas, without taking, from the outflows, the mind was completely liberated.

That is to say, bodhisattvas who are unskilled in means, who are attached to the six perfections, and who practice the sixty practices, are liberated from the afflictions of the three realms without attaining the bodhisattva ground, and do not take the later aggregates, and attain the fruit of arhatship, that is the meaning. Sharadvatiputra, these great bodhisattvas, from "having revered five hundred Buddhas," because they have not entered the faultless path of the bodhisattva, they attain the fruit of stream-enterer, attain the fruit of once-returner, attain the fruit of non-returner, and attain the fruit of arhatship. In between, it shows the reason why the completely degenerated bodhisattvas fall into the ground of the Hearers. Although they practiced the six perfections, because they practiced with signs and attachments, and did not completely purify the three spheres, they did not attain the faultless ground called the first ground of the bodhisattva, but attained the fruits of the Hearers. Sharadvatiputra, the path of the great bodhisattvas, although there is emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, if they do not possess prajnaparamita and are not embraced by skillful means, they will manifest the true limit and become Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. That is to say, if one does not possess means and wisdom, even if one practices the three doors of liberation on the bodhisattva path, it is useless, and one will only attain the nirvana of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. Question: World Honored One, why is it that from "relying on skillful means and manifesting the unexcelled, perfect, and complete enlightenment," although bodhisattvas practice the three doors of liberation similarly, the difference between possessing or not possessing means and wisdom leads to the transformation of the Great and Small Vehicles? In order to explain this reason and metaphor in detail, Shariputra asked the World Honored One. The World Honored One said, Sharadvatiputra, here are some people, all
