If a Bodhisattva Mahasattva wishes to manifestly realize the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, becoming the protector of the world, from "How" to "completely enter the realm of complete Nirvana without remainder," it shows the protector. That is to say, for sentient beings who dwell in samsara, for those who possess the nature of birth, aging, etc., causing them to be without birth, aging, etc., and placing them in the bliss of complete Nirvana, placing them in bliss, this is becoming the protector of the world, as shown. Subhuti, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva wishes to manifestly realize the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, becoming the refuge of sentient beings, Subhuti, here, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva wishes to manifestly realize the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, teaching all dharmas without confusion, this is a brief explanation of the meaning of becoming the refuge of sentient beings. Ultimately, all dharmas are without substance and empty of inherent nature, because the characteristics are not confused, and teaching the dharmas without any connection to anything, this is becoming a refuge by relying on the manner of not relying on the ultimate truth, therefore becoming the refuge of sentient beings, as shown. Questioner: World Honored One, how are all dharmas not confused? This is a question raised in order to elaborate on the meaning of teaching all dharmas without confusion as mentioned above. The World Honored One said: Subhuti, the non-confusion of form is the absence of any connection with form. And so on, this is a detailed explanation of the meaning of the non-confusion of all dharmas. Ultimately, all dharmas are empty of essence and empty of inherent nature, because their respective characteristics are not mixed with anything, therefore there is no connection with them, this is the meaning. The absence of connection with form is the absence of birth of form, this means that form is empty of its own nature, without any connection to anything, that is the nature of non-birth.

This is to teach this. The so-called "the non-existence of the arising of form" means that if there is no arising, there is also no cessation. The so-called "the non-existence of the cessation of form" means that if there is no arising and no cessation, since there is no entity, it will not mix with anything, but is naturally empty. This is to teach this. Just as it is said about form, so it should be applied to feeling, etc., up to the point of all-knowingness. Subhuti, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva wants to manifestly awaken to the unexcelled, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and become a protector of sentient beings, etc., this is to teach becoming a protector of the world. How the Bodhisattva himself realizes the Dharma-nature of all dharmas, and then accurately and without error proclaims the Dharma to sentient beings who are without protector and without refuge, then sentient beings will not be controlled by demons and obstacles, but will be helped and supported, therefore becoming a protector. This is to teach this. The so-called "the other shore of form is not form" means that the end of forms, which is the nature of non-entity, is not form. If this Dharma is taught, sentient beings will be able to realize the Dharma-nature of the Dharma, which is the limit of the ultimate truth, therefore they will not be controlled by demons, thus becoming a protector of sentient beings. This is to teach this. Just as it is said about form, so it should be applied to feeling, etc., up to the point of all-knowingness. Subhuti, the so-called "how form is, so are all dharmas" means that in the ultimate truth, form and all dharmas have the same taste in emptiness, and their nature is not different. Question: World Honored One, you said "how form is, so are all dharmas," then, World Honored One, if that is the case, will the Bodhisattva Mahasattva manifestly awaken to all dharmas and become a Buddha? The so-called "how form is,"

Likewise, all dharmas are the same. If one understands only form, one will understand all dharmas. If so, by understanding only form, one will attain omniscience. Subhuti therefore valued and asked. Why is that? World Honored One, because there is no conceptualization beyond form, etc., it is said that by understanding only form, one will understand all dharmas. This is the reason for valuing and asking. In conventional truth, understanding only form does not lead to understanding all dharmas. But in ultimate truth, "beyond form" refers to the edge of form, the nature of emptiness. That is not the object of conceptualization. If one knows without conceptualization in this way, one will manifest complete enlightenment. Just as it is explained for form, it should be applied to feeling, etc., up to omniscience. From "This is form, this is feeling" to "This is omniscience," there is no conceptualization. This is asking, "There is no conceptualization beyond form." The edge beyond form, etc., refers to the object in emptiness where no conceptualization exists. The World Honored One said: Subhuti, it is so, it is so. From "There is no conceptualization beyond form" to "There is no conceptualization beyond omniscience," repeating the words Subhuti asked above, it is taught that beyond form, etc., refers to the emptiness in which there is no conceptualization, which is true. From "This is form, this is feeling" to "This is omniscience," there is no conceptualization. This is to explain how the method of conceptualization does not exist in the object where there is no conceptualization beyond form, etc., as mentioned above. The conceptualization of seeing form, etc., as having substance and clinging to characteristics
