This is to show the method of dedicating the worldly perfections obtained through the practice of the six perfections, and of not dedicating to the level of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, but completely dedicating to the unexcelled Bodhi. Noble son, from "You should not fixate on unexcelled perfect enlightenment as form" to "You should not fixate on all-knowingness," what is being shown is that unexcelled perfect enlightenment itself is also without substance in ultimate truth, so one should not fixate on the nature of any dharma from form, etc., up to all-knowingness, nor grasp at its characteristics, because it is not the nature of those dharmas. Why is that? From "Unfixated form causes the attainment of all-knowingness" to "Knowing the aspects of the unfixated path causes the attainment of all-knowingness," what is being shown is the reasoning for not fixating on unexcelled perfect enlightenment as the nature of form, etc., nor grasping at its characteristics. Because in ultimate truth, unexcelled perfect enlightenment itself and all dharmas such as form are without substance and are not objects of fixation, if one does not fixate on them or grasp at their characteristics, one will realize the true meaning and thus attain all-knowingness. This is what is being shown. Noble son, do not generate desire for form. Why is that? Noble son, non-desire is form. From "Do not generate desire for form" to "Do not generate desire for unexcelled perfect enlightenment. Why is that? Noble son, non-desire is unexcelled perfect enlightenment," what is being shown is that since one should not fixate on or grasp at any dharma such as form, if one does so, one will attain all-knowingness. If someone thinks that one should aim to attain all-knowingness and generate desire for it, then this is negating that. Because all dharmas from form, etc., up to all-knowingness are without substance in ultimate truth and are not objects of desire, do not generate desire for them.

This is to teach. Why is that? Son of good family, all dharmas are empty of intrinsic nature, which is a brief summary of the meaning explained above. In short, all dharmas are empty of intrinsic nature in the ultimate truth, therefore one should not generate desire in order to obtain any dharma. This is to teach this. After saying this, the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One, and so on, as mentioned above, all dharmas are empty of intrinsic nature in the ultimate truth, therefore it is impossible to generate desire for anything. Wishing to attain unsurpassed complete and perfect enlightenment, making aspirations and attaining perfect enlightenment, if these things do not exist, then making aspirations and desire are also unreasonable. If things exist, then not making aspirations and not generating desire is unreasonable. Generating aspirations and desire is contradictory. Subhuti, however, great Bodhisattvas, regarding all dharmas as like illusions and dreams, thereby enter into unsurpassed complete and perfect enlightenment, and even become the path of the world, between entering into unsurpassed complete and perfect enlightenment, although in the ultimate truth they realize that all dharmas are emptiness, but in the relative truth, in order to guide and benefit sentient beings, all dharmas should be regarded as like illusions and dreams, and without clinging to this, benefit sentient beings. The words meaning the world, benefit, happiness, protector of the world, refuge, support, friend, island, light, holding a lamp, emitting light, guide, leader, becoming a path, etc., will be explained in detail and combined in the following sutras. Subhuti, how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva want to attain unsurpassed complete and perfect enlightenment, and also enter the right path for the sake of the world? Even all the wisdom that is cultivated is for the complete
