If one does not know that one has gone far away, then by the words "Perfection of Wisdom" and so on, it means that the meaning of Paramita is without self and without grasping, and transcends all conceptualizations and goes far away. If, when practicing the six Paramitas, one practices with the three wheels of self and self-possession not being completely pure, one will fall into the state of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas because one does not possess skillful means and wisdom. This is what is to be explained. Even so, the person who is a Bodhisattva vehicle practitioner does not know that he has gone far away, and does not know the other shore. From "The Perfection of Giving has not completely grasped" to "Not being grasped by all-knowingness, one will fall into the state of Shravakas or Pratyekabuddhas, and all-knowingness will not arise," it means that for Paramita, there is no conceptualization of self and self-possession, it is far away from all conceptualizations, and it has reached the end of all characteristics. If one is not skilled in skillful means and clings to characteristics, then from the six Paramitas and so on until all-knowingness, because one does not possess the meaning of the Dharma that is completely purified, one will fall into the state of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and all-knowingness will not arise. This is what is to be explained. Subhuti, if a person who is a Bodhisattva vehicle practitioner is not skilled in skillful means, what will happen? From "He will boast of wisdom, be arrogant with wisdom, and think of himself as having wisdom," it means that if one is not skilled in skillful means, and when practicing the six Paramitas, one practices with the three wheels not being completely pure, and is arrogant with this, one will fall into the state of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and all-knowingness will not arise. This is what is to be explained. Why is that? Because those conceptualizations of conceptualizations are not in the Perfection of Giving. Why is that? Because it is like this, the Perfection of Wisdom is without Perfection. This refers to the fact that in the ultimate truth, for the thing called Paramita, one clings to it as being real, and is arrogant with this, so one is not skilled in skillful means.

Therefore, it is shown to be wise. Thus, although the Bodhisattva Vehicle practitioner does not know the distant past, nor does he know the other shore, from "not being fully grasped by the perfection of generosity" to "not being fully grasped by omniscience, he falls into the Hearer's ground or the Solitary Realizer's ground, and does not arise as omniscience," it is said that if one practices the six perfections without such skillful means and takes pride in the three impure spheres, then one does not possess the pure dharmas such as the six perfections, and therefore falls into the Hearer's and Solitary Realizer's grounds and does not arise as omniscience. Subhuti, how does a person of the Bodhisattva Vehicle, being fully grasped by the perfection of wisdom and skillful means, not fall into the Hearer's ground or the Solitary Realizer's ground, and attain unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment? From "being fully grasped by omniscience, he does not fall into the Hearer's ground or the Solitary Realizer's ground, and also attains omniscience," it is said that a Bodhisattva who possesses the perfection of wisdom and skillful means, practicing the six perfections, does not grasp at self and what belongs to self, and in ultimate truth also realizes that the perfections are without substance, and in conventional truth, with skillful means, does not grasp at their characteristics and practices the six perfections without pride, then he possesses the meaning of the pure dharmas such as the six perfections, and being fully grasped by those meanings, he does not fall into the Hearer's ground or the Solitary Realizer's ground in the intermediate state, and also attains omniscience. Subhuti, thus a person of the Bodhisattva Vehicle is fully grasped by the perfection of wisdom, and what is called being fully grasped by skillful means is being fully grasped by omniscience, and therefore he does not fall into the Hearer's ground or the Solitary Realizer's ground, which is a summary and explanation of the meaning previously stated. Thus.
