That is because all actions and afflictions are ceased and their continuity is cut off. The so-called "Nirvana" is because it is free from all the harms of the aggregates. Subhuti, thus, after a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva has manifested and completely awakened to the Unsurpassed Perfect and Complete Enlightenment, he teaches such peaceful and such virtuous Dharmas, which means that the Bodhisattva, having truly realized all Dharmas without error, teaches the Dharmas he has realized to sentient beings as they are, so that sentient beings may abide in the blissful state of Nirvana, thus becoming an island, as it is taught. Subhuti, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva become the light of the world after manifesting and completely awakening to the Unsurpassed Perfect and Complete Enlightenment? From "how" to "eliminating the darkness of ignorance and the haze of unknowing," it is taught that he becomes the light of the world, that is, sentient beings have been revolving in the darkness of Samsara since beginningless time, obscured by ignorance and not inclined towards right view. The Bodhisattva, with skillful means, leads them to enter into right view, which is to become the light of the world, as it is taught. Subhuti, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva hold the lamp and emit light for sentient beings after manifesting and completely awakening to the Unsurpassed Perfect and Complete Enlightenment? From "how" to "also urging, exhorting, admonishing, and revealing to them," it is taught that he holds the lamp and emits light for sentient beings, that is, for sentient beings who have not heard or understood the sacred Dharma, he reveals the meaning of the six Paramitas of the Mahayana Sutras, with the blessings of the Four Noble Truths, and with the means of gathering sentient beings through the four Sangrahavastus, he reveals the meaning to sentient beings without error, causing sentient beings to practice the six Paramitas, the Four Noble Truths, and the Four Sangrahavastus, which is to hold the lamp and emit light for sentient beings, as it is taught. Subhuti, how
