Up to "What's so strange to see," it is said that because this Prajnaparamita is extremely profound, only a few who have previously practiced and become familiar with the conduct of Bodhisattvas will develop faith and joy. Those who have not previously practiced and become familiar with the conduct of Bodhisattvas, if they do not develop joy and faith in this profound Prajnaparamita, what's so strange to see? This is to show that Prajnaparamita is profound and difficult to believe. The meaning of Venerable Sharadvatiputra saying "I prostrate to Prajnaparamita" is, as mentioned above, that Indra, the lord of the gods, realized the extremely profound meaning of Prajnaparamita and developed great faith in Prajnaparamita, and thus prostrated. The so-called "Whoever prostrates to Prajnaparamita, prostrates to the wisdom of all-knowingness," is because the wisdom of all-knowingness also arises from this Prajnaparamita, therefore, prostrating to the cause is equivalent to prostrating to the effect. From "Then, the Blessed One said to Indra, the lord of the gods" to "Even from the wisdom of all-knowingness, Prajnaparamita is spoken," the Blessed One clearly explained the words spoken by Indra. Because the wisdom of all-knowingness arises from Prajnaparamita, and after obtaining the wisdom of all-knowingness, Prajnaparamita is also taught, these two are mutually cause and effect, therefore, prostrating to Prajnaparamita is equivalent to prostrating to the wisdom of all-knowingness, which is true. Kausika, a son or daughter of good family who wishes to abide in all-knowingness should abide in Prajnaparamita. From "A son or daughter of good family who wishes to gather a Sangha of monks should strive in Prajnaparamita," it is said that this Prajnaparamita can obtain the wisdom of all-knowingness and the understanding of the aspects of the path.

It is to abandon the afflictions connected by habits, it is to turn the wheel of Dharma, it is to establish sentient beings in the four fruits of the Hearers, and in self-enlightenment, and in unsurpassed enlightenment, it is to become the excellence of the three realms, it is to defeat the demons, it is the cause for gathering the Sangha of monks, if you want to accomplish those things, you should also strive in this Prajnaparamita, as it is taught. After such an instruction, the Lord of the Gods, Indra, asked the Bhagavan with these words, from when practicing the Prajnaparamita, to strive in the eighteen unshared Dharmas of the Buddha, until such, previously, wanting to abide in the all-knowing nature, one should abide in the Prajnaparamita, as the Bhagavan instructed, wanting to accomplish the wisdom of knowing the aspects of the path, one should strive in the Prajnaparamita, such as abiding and striving, how to abide, how to strive, Indra asked the Bhagavan. The Bhagavan said: Kaushika, thus, Kaushika, you, the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha, are thinking of asking about this meaning, well done, well done! Kaushika, this fearlessness of yours also comes from the blessings of the Buddha. Such is that Indra asked the Bhagavan how to abide in the Prajnaparamita, how to strive, it is praised that he has asked well without reversing the meaning, such a good question is praise, such a fearlessness of asking arises, it is also the power and blessing of the Bhagavan, such a statement is also for the sake of arousing faith and confidence in the retinue. Kaushika, here, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, he does not abide in form, when he does not abide in form, at that time, he strives in form, thus until when he does not abide in all-aspects-knowing-nature, at that time he strives in all-aspects-knowing-nature.

As for the part between "how to abide" and "how to strive," it is the Blessed One's answer to the questions asked by Kauśika. Since the dharmas from form, etc., up to all-knowingness are not established as truly existent in the ultimate sense, not grasping at their characteristics and not abiding in the manner of objectification is abiding in the Perfection of Wisdom; and that itself is striving in the Perfection of Wisdom, which is what is to be shown. Why is that? Kauśika, it is because, for the place of abiding and the place of striving, one does not perceive such a form, and so on, up to not perceiving such "all-knowingness," which shows that not abiding in all dharmas such as form is abiding in the Perfection of Wisdom and is the reason for striving. Since all dharmas such as form are without substance and cannot be objectified in the ultimate sense, one does not regard there as being any such thing to abide in or objectify, nor does one grasp at characteristics, which is the meaning of abiding and striving in the Perfection of Wisdom. Kauśika, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not combine or separate form. When one does not combine or separate form, then one strives for form, and so on, up to when one does not combine or separate all-knowingness, then one strives for all-knowingness, which shows that since all dharmas such as form do not have ultimate existence there, one neither strives to accomplish them nor abandons them for not accomplishing them, which is striving in the Perfection of Wisdom. Why is that? It is because, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not perceive the prior limit of form, does not perceive the later limit of form, does not perceive the middle of form, and so on, up to not perceiving the middle of all-knowingness, which
