Furthermore, the three doors of liberation and the eight liberations, as well as the nine successive meditative absorptions, and the six perfections, and the ten powers, and the four fearlessnesses, and the four analytical knowledges, as well as great compassion, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, etc., in terms of ultimate truth, by showing that their nature is the self-nature of having no object of focus, is the way that the profoundness of this Prajnaparamita is shown. The so-called "Tathagata's Paramita" means showing that it is no different from the Tathagata's own nature. The so-called "for the suchness of all expressions" means showing the Tathagata's own nature, the Tathagata is the suchness that speaks all without error, and does not speak in any other way, similarly, whatever Dharma is spoken from this Prajnaparamita, it is spoken and expressed in the way of suchness, and there is no meaning of speaking and expressing in any other way. The so-called "self-arisen Paramita" means showing that this Prajnaparamita is the master of all Dharmas, not dependent on others, and not arising from other causes. The so-called "for the sake of mastering all Dharmas" means that by the mastery of this Prajnaparamita, all Dharmas are taught, and it is not that this Prajnaparamita is taught by the mastery of other Dharmas. The so-called "Buddha's Paramita" means showing that this Prajnaparamita is the nature of understanding all Dharmas. The so-called "for the sake of completely realizing enlightenment in all ways" means that because it is the cause of fully knowing all worldly and transworldly Dharmas in all ways, it is the meaning of the Buddha's Paramita. The thirtieth chapter of the Extensive Explanation of the Hundred Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita Sutra. Chapter Thirty-one, the Northern Lineage Chapter. Then, the lord of the gods, Indra, thought: etc., thus, as explained above, the way of Prajnaparamita

After hearing this profound chapter, Indra, from the rarity of hearing, holding, and so forth of such a profound Perfection of Wisdom, shows that this profound Perfection of Wisdom is rare and difficult to believe. That is to say, this Perfection of Wisdom, whatever son or daughter of a family, those who hear it, have served the victors of the past. That is to say, with meager merit, even the name and words of this Perfection of Wisdom will not be heard. Only those who have served the Buddhas, the Bhagavad-Tathagatas of the past, will hear the name and words. This is what is taught. This Perfection of Wisdom, whatever sentient being hears it, has planted the root of virtue in the Tathagata. That is to say, those who have served the Tathagatas who appear now and planted the root of virtue will hear the name and words of this profound Perfection of Wisdom, but others will not hear it. This is the meaning. This Perfection of Wisdom, whatever sentient being hears it, is held by a virtuous friend. That is to say, those who are completely seized by a virtuous friend who teaches the meaning of the Great Vehicle without error will hear this profound Perfection of Wisdom, but it will not even be heard by others. This is what is taught. From "whoever holds and keeps" and so on, up to "how much more to speak of diligently practicing the Perfection of Wisdom in such a way," it is said that even hearing the name and words of this Perfection of Wisdom is so rare, how much more to speak of understanding its meaning without error and practicing it. Whatever son or daughter of a family, having heard this Perfection of Wisdom, does not fear, does not panic, does not become afraid, has asked and inquired of the Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas of the past. That is to say, the Buddhas of the past have well

Those who have no [wisdom] will not be frightened or terrified upon hearing it, but will praise and have faith, while others will not be so, which is what is to be shown. Any son or daughter of good family who hears this Perfection of Wisdom, up to "practicing the Perfection of Wisdom," refers to those who have practiced and become accustomed to the six perfections for many eons in previous lives. Upon hearing this profound Perfection of Wisdom, they will not be frightened or terrified, but will be convinced and have faith, while others will not be able to do so, which is what is to be shown. Then, the venerable Sharadvatiputra said this to the Blessed One, up to "they will not be able to have faith even after hearing this profound Perfection of Wisdom," refers to those who listen to and practice this Perfection of Wisdom, who are not ordinary Bodhisattvas, but are similar to irreversible Bodhisattvas, because they have not practiced the six perfections in previous lives, so they cannot contemplate and have faith in the profound meaning of this Perfection of Wisdom, which is what is to be shown. Blessed One, any son or daughter of good family who hears this profound Perfection of Wisdom and thinks that it should be abandoned, is because they also abandoned this profound Perfection of Wisdom in the past, up to "they did not ask or inquire how to cultivate the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha," refers to those who do not believe, do not have faith, and slander upon hearing this profound Perfection of Wisdom, because in previous lives they also did not believe, did not have faith, and slandered this Perfection of Wisdom, and did not serve and honor the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Shravakas, and Pratyekabuddhas, and did not listen to or inquire about how to practice the dharmas from the six perfections up to the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, this is the answer to them, which is what is to be shown. Then, the lord of the gods, Indra, said this to the venerable Sharadvatiputra, up to "they will not have faith in omniscience."
