. The perfection of non-arrogance means that this Prajñāpāramitā is of the nature of non-discrimination, showing that it is without arrogance and pride in its own merits. The reason for completely destroying all arrogance is not that one previously had arrogance and later became without arrogance, but that it is to realize that all arrogance has not arisen from the beginning. The perfection of immovability means that Prajñāpāramitā does not degenerate or waver from its nature of non-discrimination and non-arrogance. Because it abides in the realm of Dharma, it means that Prajñāpāramitā is not different from the nature of the realm of Dharma. Just as the realm of Dharma is immutable and completely established, abiding without wavering or changing, so too is Prajñāpāramitā without wavering or changing. The perfection of detachment means that this completely pure Prajñāpāramitā realizes that all dharmas are of the nature of emptiness, and therefore has the nature of not being attached to any dharma. The reason for manifestly awakening to all dharmas without error is that Prajñāpāramitā enables one to realize all dharmas as emptiness without inversion, and therefore it is the meaning of the perfection of detachment. The perfection of non-arising means that this Prajñāpāramitā does not grasp at the characteristics of objects such as desire, and does not discriminate, therefore afflictions such as desire do not have the nature of arising. Because all dharmas are without discrimination, it means that in the ultimate truth, all dharmas are empty of inherent existence, therefore there is no discrimination. Similarly, Prajñāpāramitā is also empty of inherent existence and without discrimination, therefore there is no arising. The perfection of peace means that

Thus, it is shown to be of a peaceful nature because it is non-conceptual and without the arising of any afflictions. The statement "because all dharmas are without characteristics and without objects" means that, in the ultimate sense, all dharmas are empty of inherent existence. Because there are no characteristics or objects for the arising of afflictions, the Perfection of Wisdom is peaceful. The statement "the Perfection of Wisdom without desire" means that because there is nothing to be attached to, it is shown that the Perfection of Wisdom is of the nature of being without desire. The statement "because desire has no object" means that because there is nothing to be attached to, the desire that attaches also has no object. Therefore, the Perfection of Wisdom is without desire. The statement "the Perfection of Wisdom without hatred" means that the Perfection of Wisdom is completely pure and without fault, and therefore is of the nature of being without hatred. The statement "because there is no hatred" means that because the dharmas that cause hatred to arise have no substance, hatred will not arise. Therefore, the Perfection of Wisdom is without hatred. The statement "the Perfection of Wisdom without delusion" means that the Perfection of Wisdom is of the nature of completely purifying all obscurations of knowledge and afflictions. The statement "because it dispels all darkness of ignorance" means that because the Perfection of Wisdom is the antidote to delusion, it is without delusion. The statement "the Perfection of Wisdom without afflictions" means that the Perfection of Wisdom is of a non-conceptual, spontaneously accomplished nature, and therefore there are no afflictions of conceptualization. The statement "because there is no complete understanding" means that the afflictions of Bodhisattvas are completely understood, but because there is no complete understanding in the Perfection of Wisdom, it is called the Perfection of Wisdom without afflictions. The statement "the Perfection of Wisdom without sentient beings" means that the Perfection of

Because the Prajñāpāramitā is empty in nature, it shows that the objects of self and sentient beings conceived by the heretics do not exist. The so-called "because there are no sentient beings" means that the self and sentient beings conceived by the heretics are not established even in the conventional sense. Similarly, this Prajñāpāramitā is also without objects in the ultimate sense, so there are no sentient beings, which is its meaning. The so-called "completely abandoned pāramitā" means that Prajñāpāramitā is the antidote to afflictions, so it shows that it is the nature of completely abandoning all afflictions. The so-called "because all dharmas do not arise" means that the arising of afflictions is not from real things, but through the practice of antidotes to eliminate them and become non-existent, but because all dharmas are empty in nature, the realization that there is no arising and appearance is the meaning of complete abandonment. The so-called "pāramitā that does not fall into two extremes" means that Prajñāpāramitā is the nature of non-discrimination, so it shows that it will not discriminate and cling to the two extremes of existence and non-existence, permanence and annihilation, etc. The so-called "because of completely abandoning the extremes" means that non-discrimination itself is the nature of completely abandoning the two extremes, so it is the meaning of not falling into the two extremes. The so-called "non-different pāramitā" means that Prajñāpāramitā is the nature of suchness, so it shows that it is not different from the dharmadhātu. The so-called "because all dharmas are not mixed" means that if there are things, then it can be said that there are differences between mixed and unmixed, but because all dharmas have no things, there is no mixing and unmixing, so there is no difference, which is its meaning. The so-called "pāramitā without decay" means that Prajñāpāramitā is free from all faults and defilements, which is what is to be shown. The so-called "because it transcends the grounds of Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas" means that the faults and defilements of the Mahāyāna are beyond the Hīnayāna, that is, the Śrāvakas.
