meaning. The so-called "the other shore of the unknowing" means that the Prajnaparamita is the nature of non-discrimination, which is to be explained. The so-called "because the unknowing can be specified" means that because there is no object in the ultimate sense, the knower is not the nature, which is to be explained. The so-called "the other shore of non-transience" means that in the ultimate sense, the Prajnaparamita has no object, so there is no meaning of sentient beings' continuum transmigrating to other places. The so-called "because there is no death and birth" means that this is to explain the reason for non-transience, in the ultimate sense there is no object, so it is impossible for life to transmigrate and be born, thus explaining non-transience. The so-called "the other shore of non-destruction" means that in the ultimate sense, the Prajnaparamita is not established as real, so it is the nature of non-destruction, which is to be explained. The so-called "because all dharmas are non-destructive" means that this is an explanation of non-destruction, all dharmas also have no object in the ultimate sense, so the nature of emptiness, suchness, has no destruction and change, similarly the Prajnaparamita also has no destruction, which is to be explained. The so-called "the other shore of dream" means that this Prajnaparamita has no object in the ultimate sense, from the relative truth, the Prajnaparamita is spoken of as a name and term, just like the objects in a dream, which is to be explained. The so-called "because what is seen in a dream cannot be specified" means that this is to explain the reason for the metaphor of being like a dream, just like the various objects seen in a dream, if observed as they are, they cannot be specified, which is to be explained. The so-called "the other shore of echo" means that in the ultimate sense, the Prajnaparamita has no object, so the name of the Prajnaparamita is established and spoken of as a sound, just like an echo or a valley echo, which is to be explained. The so-called "because hearing and sound speech cannot be specified" means that this is an explanation of the metaphor of being like an echo, just like the sound of a valley echo coming from rocks, etc., although the sound is not a real sound, it appears as a sound, in the Prajnaparamita

It is taught that the name and expression of reaching the other shore are merely expressions without substance. The so-called transcendence like a cataract means that, in terms of ultimate truth, the Prajñāpāramitā has no substance, but the appearance of letters and so on is like a cataract. The so-called face in the mirror is not an object of focus is an explanation of what is said to be like a cataract, that is, the image of the face appearing in the mirror is not a real human face, but it appears like a face. Similarly, the Prajñāpāramitā is not the nature of letters in the ultimate sense, but it is only in the conventional sense that it appears as letters. The so-called mirage-like transcendence means that, in terms of ultimate truth, this Prajñāpāramitā has no substance, but the appearance of being existent is an illusion, just as a mirage has no nature of water, but appears like water. The so-called flowing water is not an object of focus is an explanation of the mirage, that is, in terms of ultimate truth, the flowing water itself is also without substance. It goes without saying that the mirage has no nature of flowing water. The so-called illusion-like transcendence means that this Prajñāpāramitā has no substance in the ultimate sense, but the appearance of being existent is like the illusion of horses and elephants, etc., which are not the nature of horses and elephants, but appear like horses and elephants. The so-called sign is not an object of focus is an explanation of what is said to be like an illusion, that is, the basis and sign of the illusion created by the illusionist, the substance of horses and elephants, the causes and conditions of the illusion, and the signs of medicine and mantras, etc., are also not objects of focus in the ultimate sense, so it goes without saying that the illusion-like phenomenon arising from this has no substance. The so-called transcendence without ignorance means that this Prajñāpāramitā is pure in nature and has no obscuration of ignorance. The so-called darkness of ignorance is not an object of focus is an explanation of the meaning of without ignorance, that is, the Prajñā of

The perfection of going beyond, without ignorance and completely pure, is that which is removed from the previous obscuration of ignorance. It is not completely pure, but because the darkness of ignorance itself is without an object of focus in the ultimate sense. Therefore, it is completely pure from the beginning, this is its meaning. The so-called "perfection of going beyond without all afflictions" means that this Prajnaparamita is completely pure of the obscuration of afflictions, this is what is to be shown. The so-called "because all afflictions are without an object of focus" means that this Prajnaparamita is so completely pure of the obscuration of afflictions, but it is not that it was previously afflicted and then abandoned afflictions, and later became completely pure. Rather, because afflictions themselves are without substance in the ultimate sense, they are completely pure from the beginning, this is what is to be shown. The so-called "perfection of going beyond without purification" means that this Prajnaparamita is empty of inherent existence and completely pure from the beginning, therefore, it is not that it was previously afflicted and later became purified, this is its meaning. The so-called "because there are no afflictions" is an explanation of the reason for such purification, if there was some affliction previously, then abandoning it would be called purification, but afflictions themselves are also empty of inherent existence, and pure from the beginning, therefore there is no purification, this is its meaning. The so-called "perfection of going beyond without an object of focus" means that this Prajnaparamita is not established as real in the ultimate sense, therefore it is not an object to be focused on, nor is it a real entity that focuses, this is its meaning. The so-called "because the place is without an object of focus" means that because the place or object to be focused on is without substance, the ability to focus is also non-existent, therefore it is without an object of focus, this is what is to be shown. The so-called "perfection of going beyond without elaboration" means that this Prajnaparamita is of a nature that is free from all elaborations of conceptual thought, this is what is to be shown. The so-called "because all elaborations are completely destroyed" means that it is so free from elaborations of conceptual thought, also because it realizes that all elaborations of conceptual thought have not arisen from the beginning, this is what is to be shown.
