If one knows that one does not act unlike and does not manifest, then one has completely abandoned all forms of attachment. This means that, as explained above, all dharmas are of one taste in emptiness. If one knows that one does not act and does not manifest, then one has abandoned all faults with characteristics and objects. This is what is to be shown. Question: Blessed One, the Prajnaparamita is difficult to realize. This means that the profound meaning of the Prajnaparamita is not the object of those who have objects. This is what is to be shown. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is like this, the Prajnaparamita is not seen by anyone, not heard, not perceived, not known, because of the reason for manifesting enlightenment. This means that the Prajnaparamita has no entity in the ultimate sense, therefore it is not to be seen by eye consciousness, nor to be heard by ear consciousness, nor to be perceived by nose, tongue, and body consciousness, nor to be known by mind consciousness, because it is not to be manifested as enlightenment by non-dual wisdom, therefore it is difficult to realize. This is what is to be shown. Question: Blessed One, the Prajnaparamita is inconceivable. This means that, like this, the Prajnaparamita has no entity in the ultimate sense, therefore although it cannot be done manifestly by seeing and hearing, in order to eliminate the Bodhisattva's doubt whether it cannot be measured by the mind, it is inconceivable. This is what is to be shown. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is like this, from the mind not knowing, until the All-Knowingness not knowing, is the detailed explanation of the inconceivable meaning of this Prajnaparamita. Mind and form, etc., up to the All-Knowingness, because all dharmas are not the object to be known, therefore it is inconceivable. This is what is to be shown. The Twenty-eighth Chapter of the Extensive Explanation of the Hundred Thousand Verses of Prajnaparamita is completed. Twenty-ninth Chapter: The Chapter on Non-Abiding. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One:

Thus he requested. "Bhagavan, the Prajñāpāramitā is without action," is called the Prajñāpāramitā, from the perspective of showing non-discrimination and non-action, showing the profound and difficult to believe meaning. In the true meaning, the Prajñāpāramitā itself is also empty of self-nature, because there is no thing, it is not the self-nature of the agent. All dharmas are also empty of self-nature, so they are not the object of action. Thus, both the agent and the object of action, in the true meaning, are not established as existing, so there is no action, this is the meaning. The Bhagavan taught: "Subhuti, because the agent is not seen." It is taught that the Prajñāpāramitā in the true meaning, because it is empty of self-nature, there is no object of the agent to be seen, so there is no action. "Subhuti, likewise, not seeing form, etc.," up to "because not seeing all-aspects-wisdom," between from form, etc., up to all-aspects-wisdom, all dharmas in the true meaning, because they are empty of self-nature, are not the object of action, therefore the Prajñāpāramitā is without action, this is how it is taught. He requested: "Bhagavan, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajñāpāramitā, how should he practice?" It is called in the manner described above, the Prajñāpāramitā is neither the object of the agent, nor the object of action, then how should the Bodhisattva practice the method of the Prajñāpāramitā? This is how he asked. The Bhagavan taught: "Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajñāpāramitā, if he does not practice in form, then he is practicing the Prajñāpāramitā. As for why? Whatever is permanent or impermanent, happiness or suffering, self or no-self, pure or impure, such all aspects of all-aspects-wisdom do not exist.

and so forth, up to the nature of all phenomena up to omniscience, generally do not grasp at characteristics and do not practice. In particular, they do not practice in terms of permanence or impermanence, nor do they practice in terms of happiness or suffering, nor do they practice in terms of self or no-self, nor do they practice in terms of purity or impurity. This shows that initially, one practices the Perfection of Wisdom. Furthermore, Subhuti, the means of practicing the Perfection of Wisdom is also shown by the phrase "when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom," and so forth. If one does not practice in terms of "form is not complete," then one practices the Perfection of Wisdom. This is because the imputed form, its entity is not established, so it is not complete. If there is not even such a conceptualization, this shows that initially, one practices the Perfection of Wisdom. Why is that? If one does not even practice in terms of "whatever is incomplete form is not form," then one practices the Perfection of Wisdom. This is because such imputed form is not complete, and it is not real, so one does not even conceptualize that in ultimate reality it is not the entity of form. This shows that one understands the profound meaning of the Perfection of Wisdom and begins to practice the Perfection of Wisdom. Similarly, all phenomena from feeling and so forth up to omniscience should also be applied in this way. Question: Bhagavan, it is wonderful that the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, has so well taught attachment and non-attachment to sons or daughters of good family who belong to the Bodhisattva vehicle! This is praise for the fact that the Bhagavan above spoke of the Perfection of Wisdom as having a profound meaning, abandoning the two extremes of conceptualization of attachment and non-attachment. The Bhagavan said: Subhuti, it is just so. Subhuti, it is just so. The Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One
