If I completely dedicate to perfect enlightenment, then, as it is said, as long as one clings to characteristics, one will develop attachment, up to (this sentence), it means, regarding the qualities, names, and marks of the Tathagatas, clinging to characteristics and focusing on them, and regarding the roots of virtue of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, of the three times, focusing on characteristics and dedicating them to the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, and regarding the roots of virtue of the noble Hearers and ordinary beings, clinging to characteristics, and completely dedicating them to the unsurpassed enlightenment, these are the attachments of a Bodhisattva, thus it is shown. Why is that? Because, those Tathagatas are not objects of focusing on characteristics, and the roots of virtue of those Tathagatas are also not objects of focusing on characteristics, this shows the reason for the unreasonableness of focusing on characteristics, that is, the Tathagatas and the roots of virtue of the Tathagatas, in the ultimate sense, are not established as real things, therefore they cannot be focused on with characteristics. Question: Bhagavan, the Prajnaparamita is profound, this is because, as previously said, after realizing the profound meaning that all focusing on characteristics is attachment, in order to make all the retinue deeply believe that the Prajnaparamita is profound, (Subhuti) asked, the Prajnaparamita is profound. The Bhagavan said, Subhuti, because all dharmas are naturally pure, this means, in the ultimate sense, all dharmas are empty of inherent existence, therefore they are not attached or stained by any faults such as clinging to characteristics, they are completely pure and free, therefore it is the meaning of profound. Question: Bhagavan, I prostrate to the Prajnaparamita, this is because, after the profound meaning of the Prajnaparamita was spoken by the Bhagavan, Subhuti generated faith, and in order to generate purity in other retinues as well, it showed the generation of respect and service. The Bhagavan said, Subhuti, that is to say, the Prajnaparamita has not been created, has not been manifested,

The profound Prajnaparamita is empty of inherent existence, and is neither made nor produced by any cause or condition. It is the meaning that things of merit and non-merit, completely pure and impure appearances, are neither manifestly assembled nor can be rectified. It is said that no one can attain perfect enlightenment, meaning that the Buddha who attains perfect enlightenment, the Bodhisattva, and the Prajnaparamita itself that attains perfect enlightenment, are also empty of inherent existence, so there is neither knower nor known, therefore no one can attain perfect enlightenment. Question: World Honored One, it is said that all dharmas have not attained perfect enlightenment, which means that not only Prajnaparamita cannot attain perfect enlightenment, but also all dharmas are empty of inherent existence in the ultimate truth, and there is neither knower nor known, so it is said that perfect enlightenment has not been attained. The World Honored One taught, "Subhuti, it is like this, the nature of dharma is not two, Subhuti, the nature of dharma is only one," meaning that all dharmas are of the same taste, and in the ultimate truth they all return to emptiness, without the distinction of knower and known. "Subhuti, that which is the only nature of dharma is non-nature," meaning that previously it was said that the nature of dharma is only one, and some people think that there is only one suchness or the nature of emptiness, in order to dispel this idea, it is said that it is not inherently existent in the ultimate truth. That which is not inherently existent is unconditioned, meaning that which is not inherently existent in the ultimate truth is not produced by cause and condition. That which is unconditioned is not manifestly assembled, meaning that which is not produced by cause and condition and has no substance cannot be rectified into good or bad by merit and non-merit, nor is it manifestly assembled, thus it is shown. Subhuti, thus a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva towards the one nature of dharma
