And because all-knowingness itself is completely pure, it is said to be profoundly pure. That is to say, all those dharmas from form and so on up to all-knowingness are ultimately empty of inherent existence and are pure. However, because those who grasp at characteristics and have conceptual thoughts find it difficult to understand and believe in that which is uncontaminated, it is shown to be profound. Question: Blessed One, purity is appearance, and because all-knowingness itself is completely pure, it is said to be purity is appearance. That is to say, all the dharmas from the six perfections and so on up to all-knowingness are completely pure and unobscured. Because of their naturally luminous nature, it is said that purity is appearance. Question: Blessed One, purity is without connection, and that all-knowingness itself is without transference and without connection is purity. That is to say, all the dharmas from form and so on up to all-knowingness are empty of inherent existence and pure. Therefore, having abandoned this aggregate, there is no transference to another, and it is shown that there is no connection to taking a later aggregate. Question: Blessed One, purity is without all afflictions, and because all-knowingness itself is naturally luminous, it is said that purity is without all afflictions. That is to say, all the dharmas from form and so on up to all-knowingness are completely pure in ultimate reality and are naturally luminous. Because they are uncontaminated by afflictions such as desire, it is shown that purity is without all afflictions. Question: Blessed One, purity is without anything to be attained or realized, and that all-knowingness itself is without anything to be attained or realized is purity. That is to say, all the dharmas from form and so on up to all-knowingness are empty of inherent existence and pure in ultimate reality. Therefore, there is no fruit to be attained from them, and also

It has been shown that the very absence of anything to be done is complete purity. Question: World Honored One, complete purity is not manifestly accomplished, from "complete purity is not manifestly accomplished" to "omniscience is not manifestly accomplished is complete purity," the dharmas from form, etc., up to omniscience, are empty of inherent existence in ultimate truth, and since there is no entity, there is nothing to be manifestly accomplished, and both the manifest accomplishment and the accomplisher are not established as real, this is complete purity, it has been shown. Question: World Honored One, complete purity is not born in the desire realm, from "complete purity is not born in the desire realm" to "Sharadvatiputra, the formless realm is by nature imperceptible, therefore complete purity is not born," it is shown that all dharmas are empty of essence, and the nature of complete purity, which is suchness, is not born in any of the three realms. The so-called desire realm, form realm, and formless realm are merely conceptual constructs, and in ultimate truth, the three realms themselves are empty of inherent existence. How could there be birth in that which is imperceptible? Therefore, both the place of birth and that which is to be born are imperceptible, this is complete purity, it has been shown. Question: World Honored One, complete purity is not knowing, from "complete purity is not knowing" to "The World Honored One said: Sharadvatiputra, because of emptiness of its own characteristics, complete purity does not know omniscience," it is shown that the so-called complete purity is empty of its own characteristics and without entity, and because it is not the nature of knowing, it does not know the dharmas from form, etc., up to omniscience. Because dharmas have no mind, complete purity has no knowing, that is to say, the dharmata of complete purity has no discrimination, therefore there is no knowing that grasps at characteristics in dharmas. Question: World Honored One, the Prajnaparamita neither helps nor harms omniscience, because in ultimate truth it does not

This is to explain that because the discriminating prajnaparamita and the omniscient wisdom are of one taste in Suchness and are extremely pure, one is not the cause of the other. The Blessed One said: Sharadvatiputra, the reason for saying "because it is extremely pure" is that both the prajnaparamita and the omniscient wisdom are of one taste in the nature of the purity of the dharmadhatu, and because they are extremely pure, one is not the cause of the other. This is a supplementary explanation based on the meaning explained above. Question: Blessed One, how does the prajnaparamita neither benefit nor harm the omniscient wisdom? This is because, after the Blessed One explained the meaning stated above by Shariputra, Shariputra asked in order to make the retinue firmly believe. The Blessed One said: Sharadvatiputra, because of the abiding of the dharmadhatu, the prajnaparamita neither benefits nor harms the omniscient wisdom. This is because both the prajnaparamita and the omniscient wisdom are of one taste in the nature of the dharmadhatu in the ultimate truth, without difference, and the nature of the dharmadhatu is also the unchanging and complete essence, so there is no benefit or harm. This is to explain this point. This also shows that this prajnaparamita is profound and difficult to believe by revealing the nature of purity without benefit or harm. Question: Blessed One, the purity of prajnaparamita is that it does not completely grasp any dharma, because the prajnaparamita of non-discrimination in the ultimate truth is without things and extremely pure, so it is not the nature of discriminating and clinging to characteristics for any dharma. This is to explain this point. The Blessed One said: Sharadvatiputra, the reason for saying "because it is extremely pure" is that the non-discriminating prajnaparamita is not tainted by the faults of both the grasper and the grasped, and is extremely pure.
