In reality, it means not clinging to things and characteristics, and not focusing on the object of perception. For example, in order for sentient beings not to arise, one should view wisdom as not arising. This refers to the fact that sentient beings, as conceived by non-Buddhists, have no substance and therefore do not arise. Therefore, one should also understand that wisdom itself does not truly arise. This is what is being taught. This is teaching the view of wisdom not arising through the gate of realizing the selflessness of the individual. For the sake of form not arising, one should view wisdom as not arising, and so on. This is teaching the view of wisdom not arising through the gate of realizing the selflessness of phenomena, by teaching that phenomena such as form, up to and including unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, do not arise. Just as it is explained in the explanation of non-arising, the same should be applied to the explanations of no-self-nature, no-thingness, emptiness, tranquility, non-existence, inconceivability, fearlessness, non-manifestation of perfect enlightenment, and non-perfection of power. These ten terms, such as non-arising and no-self-nature, should also be understood as synonyms for no-thingness. World-Honored One, with these synonyms as well, it is like this: this wisdom is the great perfection of the bodhisattvas, the great beings. This is because this wisdom is the nature of non-arising and no-self-nature, and there is no differentiation. Therefore, it does not make distinctions of big or small, good or bad, etc., for any dharma, and it does not cling to characteristics. Therefore, it is the great perfection. In this way, the meaning of the great merit of wisdom is summarized and taught. The twenty-sixth chapter of the Extensive Explanation of the Hundred Thousand Verses of the Prajnaparamita Sutra. The Twenty-seventh Chapter, the Chapter on Hell. Then, the Venerable Sharadvatiputra said to the Blessed One:

From "Now please ask" to "How long have you practiced the Prajñāpāramitā?", as in the order mentioned above, Śāriputra heard that this Prajñāpāramitā has great merits and is vast, and he developed faith. He asked: "Such a profound Prajñāpāramitā, where did the Bodhisattva who believes in and loves this Dharma pass away from and come here? How long has it been since he generated the mind of Anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi? How many Buddhas, the Bhagavan, has he attended and served? How long has it been since he practiced the six Pāramitās?" The Bhagavan taught: "Śāriputra, this great Bodhisattva has attended and served immeasurable and countless Tathāgatas, Arhats, Samyaksaṃbuddhas in the ten directions of the world, and then came here and was born here." From "is" to "the Bodhisattva who believes in and loves this profound Prajñāpāramitā, where did he pass away from and come here, and how many Tathāgatas has he attended and served?", it shows where the Bodhisattva who believes in and loves this profound Prajñāpāramitā passed away from and came here, and how many Tathāgatas he has attended and served. Śāriputra, this great Bodhisattva has practiced the Dāna-pāramitā for countless, immeasurable, inconceivable billions of hundreds of thousands of kalpas. From "is" to "practicing the Prajñāpāramitā", it shows how long he has practiced the six Pāramitās. From countless, immeasurable, inconceivable billions of hundreds of thousands of kalpas, he has correctly entered Anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi, which shows how long he has generated the mind of Anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi. Since the first generation of the mind, he has practiced the Dāna-pāramitā and came here. From "is" to "practicing the Prajñāpāramitā and came here", it means that he passed away from the ten directions of the world, and in the previous life when he was born here, he was already accustomed to the Prajñāpāramitā. From then on, he began to attend to the Tathāgata, Arhat.

It is explained by "Having served and revered the countless, immeasurable, boundless, inconceivable, and incomparable Buddhas who are perfectly and completely enlightened, they come here and are born here," that when dying from the ten directions of the world and being born here, it shows that one is inseparable from serving and revering many Buddhas. The Bodhisattva Mahasattva, the son of Sharadvati, from "seeing or hearing this Prajnaparamita" to "following in meaning and manner," is because of the cause of having been accustomed to Prajnaparamita in previous lives, that in this life, merely seeing or hearing Prajnaparamita, one generates faith as if seeing and hearing the Buddha Bhagavan, and regarding the profound meaning of Prajnaparamita, as well as the manner that is in accordance with reality, one will realize it without inversion, showing such benefits. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Bhagavan, "Bhagavan, can Prajnaparamita be heard or seen?" This is because it was previously said that "seeing or hearing Prajnaparamita, one will think of seeing and hearing the teacher," in order to eliminate the doubts of some in the audience who wondered whether Prajnaparamita truly exists and is something that can be heard and seen. The Bhagavan replied, "Subhuti, it is not so. Subhuti, Prajnaparamita is without hearing and without seeing, and Prajnaparamita itself is also non-hearing and non-seeing." This is to say that, from the ultimate truth, Prajnaparamita is empty of inherent existence, and is neither something that can be seen and heard by others, nor is Prajnaparamita itself something that is heard and seen from elsewhere. From "Because there is no attention to the Dharma, they do not hear or see Prajnaparamita" to "Because there is no attention to the Dharma, they do not hear or see Bodhi, Buddha, and the Buddha's Dharma," it explains Prajnaparamita and so on.
