This teaches that one should study this Prajñāpāramitā. Subhūti, therefore, Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas should study the Perfection of Giving, etc. Thus, since the Prajñāpāramitā is the gateway to all dharmas, having been completely grasped by the Prajñāpāramitā, one should study all pure dharmas until reaching the All-Knowingness. This is the teaching. Subhūti, for example, a teacher of archery holding a bow that is accurate and powerful is difficult for enemies and retaliators to overcome, etc. This teaches by the example of being empowered over all dharmas by practicing the union of skillful means and wisdom, from which enemies such as afflictions cannot invade. Just as when brave and skilled archers hold a bow that is wielded with expertise, they become small and under control, and enemies etc. are difficult to match. Skillful means and wisdom being united, and Bodhisattvas who have power over all dharmas, when practicing the Prajñāpāramitā, are also difficult for Māras etc. to overcome. This is the teaching. Thus, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, of the past, future, and present, pay attention to those who practice the Prajñāpāramitā, which means that such Bodhisattvas who have mastered all dharmas, when studying the Prajñāpāramitā, do not cling to any dharma and act without intention, bestowing blessings and power. Request: How do the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, pay attention to the Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas practicing the Perfection of Giving, etc.? This is asked in order to elaborate on how the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, pay attention, and to distinguish the occasion. The Bhagavat said: Subhūti, here, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, pay attention to the Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas practicing the Perfection of Giving, and in whatever way they do not fixate on the Perfection of Giving, in that way they pay attention, etc. The Bodhisattva's skillful means and wisdom being united.

Relating to attaining mastery over all dharmas, in ultimate truth, there is no clinging to any dharma. In conventional truth, it is not that one does not practice the perfections and so forth, but rather, one practices these dharmas without clinging to or fixating on anything, and without being controlled by afflictions and demons, and so forth. They bless and contemplate. Thus it is taught. Furthermore, Subhuti, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, do not contemplate form in relation to Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, and so forth. This means that the Bodhisattva himself, up to the all-knowing wisdom of all aspects such as form, does not, in ultimate truth, cling to any dharma as real and contemplate it. However, in conventional truth, they contemplate only with worldly terms. Thus it is taught. Question: Bhagavan, should Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas train in many places, and yet not train in any place, and so forth? This means that in conventional truth, one trains in many pure dharmas such as the six perfections, but in ultimate truth, there is no dharma that can be trained in this way. Thus it is taught. Question: Bhagavan, if the Tathagata teaches these dharmas in brief and in detail, and so forth, this means that in ultimate truth, teaching the realization that all dharmas are of one taste in suchness is the brief teaching. In conventional truth, teaching by distinguishing the characteristics of each dharma is the detailed teaching. Question: Bhagavan, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva become skilled in the brief and detailed aspects of all dharmas? This is asked in order to explain in detail the meaning of becoming skilled in the brief and detailed aspects of all dharmas. The Bhagavan replied: If one knows the suchness of form, one will know the brief and detailed aspects of all dharmas, and so forth. This means that knowing that all dharmas, from form and so forth up to all-knowing wisdom, are of one taste in suchness is knowing in brief. Knowing the individual characteristics of these dharmas is knowing in detail. Thus it is taught. Question: Bhagavan, what is the suchness of form? This is because form and so forth were mentioned above.
