If, in practice, one does not even grasp at the very absence of essence, and does not truly see it accordingly, how could there be grasping at essence? That is to say, one does not even grasp at those things like the six perfections, which are ultimately non-substantial dharmas, and the deeds to be accomplished by bodhisattvas. If one does not regard them as substantial, how could there be grasping at things that are not true and have essence? Therefore, a bodhisattva who practices the prajnaparamita is practicing non-essence. From "Then, many sons of the gods who practice in the desire realm and those who practice in the form realm thought thus" to "Those who do not realize this equality of dharma are worthy of homage," it means that although one realizes that all dharmas are without essence, one does not abandon the mind of enlightenment for unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and although one practices the profound and unapprehendable prajnaparamita, such people who do not realize the true limits of the hearers and solitary buddhas, and the nature of emptiness, are rare. Therefore, it is shown that those bodhisattvas who practice in that way are worthy of homage. From "Then, the venerable Subhuti said this to those sons of the gods" to "Those beings who should be turned away from suffering, it is more difficult for them if they are not apprehended at all," it means that it is not so difficult to merely practice the unapprehendable dharma and not realize the true limits, but it is even more difficult to vow to work for the benefit of many beings and not apprehend those beings. Therefore, it is shown that such practice is worthy of homage. A bodhisattva mahasattva who practices in that way enters into unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment in order to tame all beings, that is to say, he also dons armor for the benefit of many beings, and since he does not apprehend beings, it is not merely for his own benefit, but mainly for the benefit of beings, and since he does not apprehend them, such practice is entering into unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment.

This is what is to be shown. Whoever intends to subdue sentient beings is like intending to subdue the sky. From "intending to subdue sentient beings" to "looking at accumulating sentient beings for the sake of accumulating the sky," this shows the reason for sentient beings being without an object of focus. Because sentient beings in the ultimate truth have no substance, they are like the sky. Subduing sentient beings is like subduing the sky, this is what is to be shown. Emptiness and voidness, as well as meaninglessness and accumulation, should be understood as synonyms for having no substance. Sons of the gods, with these synonyms, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who dons armor for the benefit of those without sentient beings, that is difficult, meaning that for those without substance, making it into something with substance, is without skillful means, and is difficult to do. Whoever dons armor for the sake of sentient beings is like wanting to argue with the sky, this is taking the example of the sky to show that sentient beings have no substance. Donning armor for the sake of subduing sentient beings without substance is ultimately subduing the sky, this is what is to be shown. The Bodhisattva Mahasattva divided that armor, and for which sentient being did the Bodhisattva Mahasattva divide the armor, those sentient beings are also invisible, this is summarizing the meaning of the sentient beings to be subdued having no substance to show. What is the reason for that? Because sentient beings are empty, looking at armor is also empty, this is saying that in this way, with the reason of sentient beings being without an object of focus, using the words of emptiness to show, because sentient beings have no substance and are empty, therefore they are without an object of focus. In this way, because sentient beings are empty, the armor that strives to subdue sentient beings is also empty, therefore it is non-dual, this is the meaning to be expressed. If when showing in this way, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva does not retreat, then the Bodhisattva Mahasattva is practicing Prajnaparamita, this is saying that in this way, both sentient beings and armor are empty, for showing that there is no armor, because of being afraid of having no substance and emptiness, if one does not become a Hinayana mind, one can comprehend practicing Prajnaparamita, this is what is to be shown. What is the reason for that? Because form is empty
