Also, it can avert from all clinging that is without outflows. And it also shows nirvana, which is very wonderful, because as such, according to the order mentioned above, all phenomena such as form, which are imputed by thought, are not established as truly existent in the ultimate sense. Therefore, saying "form, etc., are profound" is to avert from attachment to form, etc., so it is aversion to form, etc. Thus, all phenomena such as form are not established as truly existent in the ultimate sense, because the profound nature of emptiness is shown, so it is showing nirvana. Thus, merely showing "form, etc., are profound" can also avert from attachment to form, etc., and the skillful means of showing nirvana is not the object of practice for hearers and self-awakened ones, etc., who have characteristics. Showing this is very wonderful, that is the meaning. The so-called "also from the worldly and, the transcendent, and the common, and the uncommon, and the contaminated, and all clinging that is without outflows, it can also avert" is to summarize and show the phenomena from form, etc., up to the unmixed phenomena of the Buddha, except for those phenomena that are included. By showing "form, etc., are profound," one can avert from clinging to characteristics and all appearances of attachment to all phenomena of the worldly and transcendent, common and uncommon, contaminated and uncontaminated. And it can also show nirvana, and it is very wonderful to explain such skillful means. The Blessed One said: Subhuti! If a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abides as taught in the Perfection of Wisdom, up to "What need is there to mention that he abides without mixing with the Perfection of Wisdom and with the thought of enlightenment?" In between, it is shown that thinking about abiding and studying this profound Perfection of Wisdom has great merit and the great benefit of being able to purify obscurations. The so-called "What need is there to mention that he abides without mixing with the Perfection of Wisdom and with the thought of enlightenment?" is in the midst of noise.

And abiding and acting as stated in the Prajñāpāramitā, if thinking and striving also have such great benefits, then one should abandon noise and not mix with anyone, but live alone in a secluded place and meditate, what need is there to say more? Subhuti, just like that, for example, a man with lustful behavior and with discrimination, from "someone" to "Bodhisattva Mahāsattva abandons Saṃsāra and turns his back", illustrates the analogy of a Bodhisattva practicing Prajñāpāramitā, purifying obstacles in many kalpas, and being liberated from Saṃsāra, which is derived from a man generating many lustful discriminations towards a woman. A man's lust for a woman, how many discriminations arise in his mind in one night, a Bodhisattva practicing Prajñāpāramitā, can abandon Saṃsāra in how many kalpas, showing such benefits. Whoever learns and practices as stated in the profound Prajñāpāramitā, from "learning" to "number, part, calculation, metaphor, and cause cannot be approached", illustrates learning and practicing as stated in the profound Prajñāpāramitā, and eliminating the faults of obstacles to unsurpassed Bodhi, has great benefits. A Bodhisattva who acts in this way, if the roots of virtue accumulated in one day and one night have a form, even if the world realms as numerous as the sands of the Ganges are completely filled, but the previous roots of virtue, compared to the remaining part of the roots of virtue, even the roots of virtue that completely fill the world realms, are not even one percent, and even one hundred million trillionth, number, part, calculation, metaphor, and cause cannot be compared, showing the increase of many roots of virtue. Subhuti, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahāsattva practices Prajñāpāramitā, in the kalpas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, he gives alms to the Buddha Jewel, the Dharma Jewel, the Saṅgha Jewel, the Three Jewels

From "named..." onwards. Why is that? Because in what way can one manifest complete and perfect enlightenment, that is the way of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas." Up to this point, it shows that diligently practicing the profound Prajnaparamita as it is taught is of great merit. Offering to the Three Jewels for as many kalpas as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River only results in obtaining the fruit of material giving, which is great enjoyment. If one diligently practices the profound Prajnaparamita as it is taught, one will attain unsurpassed, complete, and perfect enlightenment, therefore the merit will increase even more. Subhuti, what do you think? If a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva does not possess Prajnaparamita, and abides for as many kalpas as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River, from offering to a Stream-enterer onwards, until surpassing the grounds of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, can they enter the Bodhisattva ground without obstruction and manifest complete and perfect enlightenment? Up to this point, it shows that not possessing Prajnaparamita and offering to the noble beings such as Stream-enterers for as many kalpas as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River is not as meritorious as diligently practicing the profound Prajnaparamita as it is taught. Offering to the noble beings only results in obtaining the fruit of material giving, which is great worldly enjoyment. If one diligently practices this Prajnaparamita, one can surpass the grounds of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, enter the first Bodhisattva ground, and manifest unsurpassed, complete, and perfect enlightenment, therefore the merit will increase even more. Subhuti, what do you think? If a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva does not possess Prajnaparamita, and abides for as many kalpas as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River, offering clothing and food as alms... up to unsurpassed, complete, and perfect enlightenment
