is. In order to distinguish the occasion when all dharmas are explained as having no appearance, no manner, and no characteristics in the ultimate sense, Rabjor asked (this question). The Blessed One said: Rabjor, all dharmas are without appearance, without manner, and without characteristics. This is to show the appearance, manner, and characteristics of the non-returning bodhisattva, which is only shown in conventional terms. But in the ultimate sense, (all dharmas) are empty of inherent existence. Because there are no things, there are no appearance, manner, and characteristics in the absence of things. This is its meaning. Asked: Blessed One, if all dharmas have no appearance, no manner, and no characteristics, then from what dharma is it shown that the non-returning Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is non-returning? The term 'non-returning' is established through its opposite. If there is returning, then non-returning can be established through its opposite. Since all dharmas are empty of inherent existence and have no appearance, manner, and characteristics, then returning and non-returning cannot be established. From what perspective do you show non-returning? Rabjor asked (this question). The Blessed One said: The Bodhisattva-Mahasattva does not return from form, until he does not return from unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Rabjor, this should be understood as the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva being non-returning. Through this passage, it is shown that one does not cling to all dharmas such as form, does not grasp them as characteristics, does not abide in these dharmas, and retreats from these dharmas. It should be understood as not returning from unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Why is that? Rabjor, this is because the inherent nature of form in which the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abides does not exist, until the inherent nature of all-knowing wisdom in which the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abides does not exist. Through this passage, the reason for retreating from all dharmas such as form is shown, that is, in the ultimate sense, all dharmas such as form are empty of inherent existence and have no inherent nature, therefore one does not cling to and abide in

Because of the impossibility of turning back, it shows that one turns back from those. Furthermore, Subhuti, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is, from saying "These ascetics and Brahmins are to be known, are known," to "Does not bow down to other gods, nor does he think of giving flowers, garlands, incense, unguents, powders, clothes, umbrellas, banners, or flags to them," is not to praise the ascetics and Brahmins who are inclined to the evil views of the heretics, does not cling to worldly omens and signs, and does not regard the worldly gods as teachers, it should be known that this is the display of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who does not turn back. Furthermore, Subhuti, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who does not turn back, from "Is not born in sentient hell" to "Therefore, he is not born in these eight unfavorable places, nor does he completely cling to being transformed into a woman," shows that the Bodhisattva who does not turn back is not born in the eight unfavorable places, nor is he transformed into a female body. Furthermore, Subhuti, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who does not turn back, from "Correctly upholds and practices the path of the ten virtuous actions" to "Even in a dream, he does not abide in the path of the ten non-virtuous actions, let alone when he is awake," shows that he himself also completely practices the ten virtues, and also causes others to practice, and also proclaims the merits of practicing the ten virtues, and has the signs of completely abandoning the ten non-virtues, it should be known that this is the one who does not turn back. Furthermore, Subhuti, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who does not turn back, from "When he abides in the perfection of giving" to "When he abides in the perfection of wisdom, he cultivates that wisdom for the sake of all sentient beings," shows that when the Bodhisattva practices the six perfections, he practices with the benefit of sentient beings as the main focus, it should be known that this is the one who does not turn back by those signs and marks. Furthermore, Subhuti, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who does not turn back is,
