From "not practicing the six perfections" to "one should not explain the Dharma of emptiness of inherent existence in front of a newly entered Bodhisattva of the Mahayana," it refers to a newly entered Bodhisattva of the Mahayana who has not diligently practiced the six perfections, has not attended to and honored many Buddhas, has not extensively cultivated roots of virtue, has not been embraced by a virtuous friend, and has not been well-trained in realizing the emptiness of inherent existence of all phenomena. They might completely dedicate these things to things with signs and attachments. Because there will be the fault of having inverted views on these things. Therefore, one should not explain the profound and unapprehendable Dharma, such as the Prajnaparamita, etc., up to the omniscient wisdom, which are called by the name of the Buddha's Dharma, in front of an impure, newly entered Bodhisattva of the Mahayana. This is what is to be explained. Why? Because for them, even the mere faith, the mere joy, the mere devotion, or the mere respect will disappear. This means that if the profound Dharma is taught to the newly entered Bodhisattvas of the Mahayana, because they are not vessels, they will not believe it, which will lead to faults such as the decline of faith. From "one should explain and teach to the irreversible Bodhisattva Mahasattva" to "one should explain and teach the Dharma of emptiness of inherent existence in front of them," it refers to the pure, irreversible Bodhisattva who has been embraced by a virtuous friend, has extensively cultivated roots of virtue in front of the Buddhas in the past, has attended to and honored many Buddhas, and has become a vessel of the profound Dharma. One should explain the Dharma, such as the Prajnaparamita, etc., up to the omniscient wisdom, in a way that is without signs and without objects of focus. This is what is to be explained. Because after hearing it, he will not be afraid, will not hate, and will not be frightened. This refers to the irreversible Bodhisattva who has attained the forbearance of the unborn Dharma and has become a vessel of the profound Dharma.

For those things, if the Dharma of non-objectification and non-characteristic is taught, it will not become a fault such as fear, which is what is to be explained. Subhuti, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should also dedicate the objects of meritorious deeds possessed by rejoicing to the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, which means that the Bodhisattva shares the merits possessed by rejoicing with all sentient beings, and dedicates them to the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment in a non-objective way, which is a summary explanation of the meaning of the extraordinary superiority of merit. In this way, according to the method mentioned above, in the ultimate truth, one does not grasp the characteristics of all dharmas, and realizes non-objectification. In the conventional truth, the roots of virtue possessed by rejoicing are shared with all sentient beings. If they are dedicated to the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, then the merit is particularly superior, which is what is to be explained. Subhuti said: Maitreya, with what mind do you rejoice, and the mind with which you dedicate those roots of virtue to the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, etc., which is Subhuti's explanation of the reason why it is not appropriate to dedicate the roots of virtue with characteristics and objectification. The mind that should be dedicated is exhausted and destroyed, and has changed, which means that the mind that focuses on the unsurpassed enlightenment and dedicates it is of momentary nature, exhausted and destroyed, and there is no object, because it does not abide in one nature, so the mind that dedicates it does not exist either, which is the meaning to be expressed. Those things and those objects and those roots of virtue are also exhausted and destroyed and non-existent, if they have changed, which means that the objects of meritorious deeds, such as giving, etc., and the object of dedication, the unsurpassed enlightenment, and the roots of virtue done by giving, etc., are also momentary. In the ultimate truth, because it is not established that things are real, they are exhausted and destroyed and non-existent, if they have changed, then what is dedicated to where? This is the meaning to be expressed.
